Stella's POV

"W... What happened?"

He started back at me with relief and a bit of shock.

I reached out to his hand unsure of what to do.

He pulled it away before I can touch it. He looked at his hand then at mine then at me.

"David... It's me Stella Nightgale your frie-"

Just then it hit me.

D-did I act like a dragon in front of him?

Just the thought kind of broke my heart. He was my one and only friend that cared about me.

I fell on the floor tears slowly making their way down my cheeks as I heard my own sniffles.

What is this? The only reason that I used to keep my distance from everyone is because that I don't want to feel broken, yet here I am.

A hand settled on my back disturbing my train of thought.

I glance up just in time to see David's heart warming smile spread across his features.

"Stella... Come on... it's over now." He spoke.

I did my best to smile but it ended up being crooked.

He laughed a bit as he covered his mouth with his arm that had the uniform on top of it.

Damnit, I forgot about school.

I get up and just as I was about to go change. Then did I notice that this isn't my dorm room.

Why is my life so lame?

I was just going to heat out when I felt something on my left wing.

I look at it and realized that it was bandaged up.

I glance at David and tilt my head to the side questioning him.

David's POV

The way she tilted her head was cute. I had to stop myself from trying to go there and hug her.

"Your wing is broken." I said quietly.

She seemed to have heard it and sat on the floor.

Her nails seemed to have sharpened as she started ripping the bandages.

I was so shocked ,"Wait!... What are you doing!? Your supposed to keep it till your wing heals."

She just ignored me and continued.

When she removed the final piece of cloth, she folded her wing and opened it a few times then let it settle against her back.

She looked at me and her brow rising.

"It doesn't look broken to me." She half stated.

"H-how?" Was all I can say.

She smirked, not in a teasing way but a friendly kind of way.

"Now let's get out of here." She said while looking at the door.

I walked up to the door and opened it for her to pass but she shook her head. "No, no we are not going to go through the nurses office to get out." She paused as gestured to the window. "We are going to have a little fun while going out...." she smiled.

Her smile was filled with mystery and excitement, as I caught up.

"But I can't fly." I said confused.

She clicked her tongue and said,"No worries. You aren't that heavy..." She studied me.

"How are you so sure?" I asked. I did not like where this was heading.

"You are around 60 kilograms let me guess." She said starting to stretch, earning from me a frown.

"How did you know?"

"Just a lucky guess." She smiled ,"I can fly us out of here in two ways. You can get on my back and hold on until we reach my dorm so that I can get a change of clothes. Or I can hold you." She said listing them on her hand.

I thought for a moment, "Which one is the safest?"

"You on my back." She answered.

"Fine." I said ,sighing in defeat.

Her smile spread a bit then she flew up and broke the glass by going through it.

She said,"I hear the alarm and I want you to jump out the window when someone comes." She said hovering in the air a few feet away from the broken window.

I look at her as if she was crazy.

She ignored that and disappeared.

Where did she go? She moved so quickly.

Just then three nurses barged in. One of them see me and tell the others.

They come forward each pulling a knife from behind them.

I panicked and jumped without thinking.

I was falling really fast and I can hit the ground any second now just as I heard the sound of something diving from above, somehow like a high pitched whistle.

I closed my eyes tightly and covered my head with my hands to protect it from the fall.

But I opened them for some reason.

Just as I felt something move under me before I hit the ground, pulling me up in the process.

I  saw the familiar head of hair pulling up in the air to a higher level at a magnificent speed.

I held on tight around her neck unintentionally.

She finally started flying horizontally. I felt her head turn side ways to face me as she said, "You can let go now."

I slowly let go, noticing her eyes following my movements.

I sat up straight as I heard her say sharply, "Stay low."

A group of students were passing by eyeing her. I ducked and looked at her her eyes slit like for a moment before the turned to normal.

The moment they walked away she glanced at me her eyes normal again,"they are gone now."

I look up and notice how high we are above the ground.

"We will go to my dorm, by the way this is the way to my dorm." She said.

I glanced back at the school as it disappeared and we entered the dormatory  area.

Just as I sat up straight then did I notice how huge her wings were. I can't believe that I didn't notice them sooner.

Just then she started to get a little vertical as a sign that she was about to land as I heard a thud.

She spoke in a hushed tone, "You can get off now."

I got off a little embarrassed, but then realized that I never been to her dorm before.

She told me that she doesn't have a roommate because the school government was thinking that she can make other people become powerless, I of course don't believe that.

"I'm sorry for what I did." She said quietly in embarrassment.

I sent her a quick questioning look. Then I understood what she meant. "It's okay... You weren't your self back then."

"Listen I'm skipping school today.... I just don't feel like going to school at the moment." She said awkwardly.

"I won't go then." I said.

"W-why not?" She said.

"If you don't feel well  I'm keeping an eye on you." I stated.

"You still have to attend school ,all people with powers have to. The principal himself gave me permission if I want to miss on school." She said.

I kinda wanted to see her pull her tongue out at me for some reason but I didn't really care.

"Okay you got me... But be careful and don't push yourself to hard."
