Lyla went back to her apartment with a smile on her face and a new number in her phone.

Lyla walked in to the smell of candles and soft music playing. This was very confusing to her because only one other person had a key to her apartment...Seth.

"Seth, what the fuck are you doing here?" She asked with a shocked expression on her face.

"I'm sorry Lyla. I want you back. I never meant to hurt you." Seth said with those puppy dog eyes that get her every time.

"Seth I can't do this. Please leave. I need my space to think" of course the first person she thought about was Harry. What to do now?

"Lyla, please. I was in the wrong and I shouldn't have taken it out on you. You deserve better and I can be better, I promise." he begged.

"Get. Out." Lyla said with gritted teeth.

"Can we talk later?" He asked.

"We'll see. Just give me my space, please. That's all I ask." Lyla snapped back at him. She opened up the door for him and he walked out with his head hung low. Lyla didn't feel as guilty as she should have. When at the coffee shop, she recalled all the things he has done to her, said to her. She took his crap for too damn long. She knew she deserved better, but she didn't want to accept that. A piece of her heart was still stuck with Seth.

Lyla turned off the music and blew out the candles. She walked back to her room and laid down on the bed, staring up at the ceiling. Thinking hard about what to do next. Harry's bright sparking green eyes were so enticing. His beautiful soul shone through immediately.

"I know I can't go back to Seth. And Harry was so kind. I know if I'm friends with Harry and still dating Seth, he would never let me see Harry." Lyla mumbled to herself. While she was in deep thought, her phone buzzed...It was Harry. She couldn't get her mind off of those chocolate brown curls.

Harry's POV

"Mark she was the most beautiful girl I've ever seen!" Harry exclaimed to his best friend Mark.

"Is she single?" Mark hinted.

"Well that's the thing. She was crying because her boyfriend had just yelled at her and dumped her. I want to be her friend so badly! The poor girl doesn't have any friends because of that damn boy. Maybe one day we can even be more than friends. She's just so beautiful!" Harry explained. He was awe struck by Lyla's beautiful green eyes. They were kind of like his bright green orbs, yet even brighter.

"Don't just stand there! Text her!" Mark encouraged.

To lyla
Hey Lyla! How are you doing?

Harry waited a few minutes, anxious to check his phone.

About half an hour later, he finally got a response.

From lyla
Hey Harry. I've been better :/ but it was so great to meet you! I'm sorry again I was such a pitiful wreck. I hope we can meet up again soon! :)

Harry's eyes beamed with pride. A girl wants to see him again! One thing that Harry struggled with was having a girlfriend or even friends with the fame and recognition he has. People seem to only want him for his money. Lyla didn't even recognize him. She didn't ask for a picture, an autograph, anything. Harry only wanted the best for people, but the last thing he wanted was to feel and be used by people he cared for.

Harry planned to settle down in the town of Bowling Green near the campus of Western Kentucky. He wanted time to write more music and meet new people. The people that walk the streets of LA and New York could spot him so easily. A more rural setting like Bowling Green was a perfect place for him to disguise himself as a normal person.

He had an apartment with his best friend Mark, who actually attends the university, about a mile away from campus. Decent walking or biking distance to the edge of campus and the nearest Starbucks.

Harry loved being in the mid-west. It wasn't a busy bustling town. It was a quiet place with lots of people his age. Plenty of new people to meet.

Harry didn't want to feel famous for once. Lyla was the first person he came across since moving to Bowling Green that didn't recognize him as a singer/songwriter. That connection seemed so special to him and he knew he wanted to stay in contact with her. He wanted a friend.
