"Get back here, girl!" A man shouts, chasing after the small girl. Tears run down her face as she weaves through the people who stare at her with disgust.
She gets through the crowd but comes to the edge out the town and she freezes. She turns around and sees the man quickly approaching.
She steps back into the gray sand, water lapping at her ankles. The man reaches her and grabs her arm, shaking her. "You selfish girl! You're so pathetic that you can't even earn things yourself. You feel the need to steal from others. You're too useless to do anything!"
A sharp sting to the girl's cheek, and she falls to the ground, cowering away from the man. The bright red object in her hands tumbles to the ground, away from the little girl. "Please, I was just hungry."
The man stomps on the fruit, and turns to the girl. His rage filled eyes burn marks into the girl. "Do that again, and you'll wish you'd never been born."
The man stomps away, leaving the girl to cry alone on the beach.

Birds are chirping, the sun is shining, a light wind is blowing, and the woman groans as she wakes up. She stares up at the sky, dreading the day ahead. Its just after dawn, and she knows that the villagers will be up and about at this time.
She sighs and sits up, running her hand through her auburn hair. She pulls at the snarls and puts her hair in a braid. She grabs her cloak off the ground and puts it around her shoulders.
The woman makes her way out of the cove and starts walking back to the village. Luckily, the cove wasn't too far from the village, and she knew to head in the same direction after exiting the cove entrance. The woman knows she is on the right path when she starts spotting mutilated trees, letting her know that the man has been here before. And since he was training not too far from the village, she can assume that this is a regular thing for him.
When she spots the village from outside the tree line, she takes a deep breath and starts making her way down the hill. Sure enough, the villagers are bustling around, doing their morning duties.
However, when she passes a hut on a hill, she hears cackling and yelling. Cautiously, the woman makes her way over to see what is happening, and she spots two teens huddling together and talking quietly. She notices that they both look pretty similar, the first has hair long blonde hair in dreadlocks, and with a viking helmet on his head. The second has the same long blonde hair but hers is in three braids, and she too has a viking helmet. They seem pretty much harmless.
"Hey!" The woman startles, seeing the young woman glaring at her. "Keep walking, this isn't any of your business.
Her counterpart shushes the other and takes a step forward, the woman is quick to step back. "Quiet Ruffnut. She could be of use to us."
'Ruffnut' pauses and looks the woman over. Then she grins mischievously. "Ahh, you're on to something, dear brother," she laughs then steps up to her brother. "How you would feel about pranking a Bull-headed Lout?"
Confused, the woman takes a step backward. "Look, I just heard something and was curious. I really don't need to get into anything... attention grabbing."
The two huff, looking disappointed. "You're no fun..." Ruffnut grumbles. She turns to her brother, "C'mon Tuff, we have planning to do." She cackles and they run off.
The woman quickly leaves the area, not looking back. She makes a mental note that those two are most definitely not harmless.
