Hiccup stares down at the parchment on the table. Her name written in all too familiar ink, mocking her. Her hands shake as she opens the letter.

Hiccup,

I'm sorry. I'm sorry I left you alone. But you're safe now so that's all that matters to me. And I know that you feel guilt for what happened, but you shouldn't. I'm okay. I dealt with it, but Rainsford is very suspicious of me at the moment.

I wrote this as soon as I knew that we were both safe, and I immediately sent this, hoping to reach you.

While you may be safe on an island, hopefully very far away, Rainsford isn't happy. Things are much more tense back at camp, and people are starting to get very rowdy.

Rainsford is planning something. I know it.

Wherever you are, I hope your okay.

Please, stay where you are.

You have to be okay.

I can't lose you.

Love,

          Toothless

Hiccup takes a shaky breath, dropping her head onto her palms.

He's okay.

He's alive.

Hiccup feels as if she could cry.

But she can't. Not now.

She hears a loud THUMP, and Hiccup looks up, seeing the twins sitting in front of her, giving her a suspicious look.

"Uh... Hi?" She looks at the twins, confused. They are staring at her, eyes suspicious. They've only approached her a handful of times, and every time Hiccup had to make a quick escape. She subtly puts her letter away, ready to be on her feet and out the doors in a moments notice.

The twins share looks, and they look back at Hiccup. "We have been watching you," Tuffnut starts, folding his hands and leaning forward on the table. "See, we have noticed that you behave... strangely."

Hiccup's body freezes; however, she is very confused. She knew that she stood out like a sore thumb, she just didn't think it would the twins who would be the first to approach her about it.

Besides Ash, of course.

"Oh really?" Hiccup asks, but she leans away from the slowly approaching twins. "And what about my behavior is... 'strange'?" Hiccup asks, but she could very obviously point out her oddities herself. However, she wants to hear the twins tell her.

"Yes, strange." Ruffnut speaks, mimicking Tuffn't posture. "We believe that you are an undercover spy, or an assassin, living as one of us to uncover all our secrets."

Hiccup almost laughs at the suggestion. An assassin?

Then she thinks about the connotations, and grows curious.

"Oh, really. Elaborate."

"Well," Ruffnut starts, counting off her hand, "you're very quiet, your mysterious, you came out of nowhere, and you are always watching people with a close eye."

Hiccup huffs out a laugh and looks down at her hands. She runs a hand through her hair and looks back up at the twins. "Very funny, but I'm sorry to say that I am not a spy."

"You're sure?" They both say, leaning close, looking at her suspiciously.

Hiccup sighs and nods. Though, if her secret were to ever get spilled, she will firstly get accused of being a spy, and there is no way around that. So maybe the twins aren't that far off.
