I went to go get Savannah-I need to come up with a nickname. Savannah is too long. Hmm... I like Sav or Savy. As I was saying, I'm on my way to get Savy some good from KFC. I hoped in my truck and went to go get it.
Savannah's POV
I can't believe Luke feels that way about me. I never knew. And why was he calling me baby? I mean I like it but we ain't dating. Are we? No. I wish we were, but he hasn't asked me yet. I really do like Luke. A lot. I was pulled away from my thoughts when the door opened. "Hey Savy." "Hey Dani." "How ya feeling honey?" She can over and sat down in the chair by the hospital bed I was laying in. "Okay I guess." "My leg, head, and collar bone hurt. Why are you out of the hospital?" "I just have a broken wrist and I wasn't in a coma for 2 weeks. Their only keeping you cause you were in a coma. They wanna make sure your okay." "I just wanna leave." "I know hon. Where's Luke?" "He went to get me KFC." "Wow." She made the 😏 face. "It's not like that. We ain't dating." "Yet." I rolled my eyes. At that time Carter came in. He walked over to Dani and kissed her and said "Baby, I'm about to leave. But I wanted to check on Lo-Savannah first." I sighed. "Carter I hope you know, I never meant to hurt you and Luke by lying. I just didn't want to have Riley come after me. And now y'all are confused on what to call me and-" "Hon, it's okay. I know why you were trying to do. It's fine. We'll get used to it." "Okay. Thanks for understanding." "No problem. Where's Luke?" "He went to get me KFC. I ain't eating that nasty hospital food." "I didn't either Savy." "Baby, I'm gonna go. You coming?" "No, I'm gonna stay here with Savy." "Savy? I like it. I'm gonna start saying that. And okay, love you" "Dani you don't gotta stay here with me. Luke should be here any minute." "Hon, it's okay I can-" At that moment Luke walked in with the food. YES! "Told ya so." She just rolled her eyes. "Okay hon, I'll check on you tommorow." "Okay." "Luke. Watch yourself." "Yes ma'am." She glared at him then came over to me kissed my forehead, then left with Carter hand in hand. "Their cute." "I know darlin." There it is. "Now give me good." "Yes ma'am." We both laughed. He brought me tacos. "Thank you." "No problem baby." "Luke?" "Yes darlin." "Why do you call me baby and darlin? Don't get me wrong. I like it, but we aren't dating." "Yeah, about that." "What?" "I know we agreed that we would stay friends, but," He was leaning over me almost two inches from my face," I want to be more than friends. I love you Savy. But-" I leaned up and cut him off by kissing him. And let me tell you he is a damn good kisser. We kissed for a good 5 minutes straight before we both pulled out. He laid his forehead on mine. "Luke I-" He kissed me again. At this point he was almost on top of me. I pulled away. "Luke, were in a hospital. I ain't having sex in a hospital." "I know. But Savy?" "Yes Luke?" "Will you be my girlfriend?" I smiled at him. "Yes." He smiled that million dollar smile and kissed me again. "Baby, you need to get some rest." "I don't want to." "Baby, you need too." "I know." "Darlin' I'll be right here when you fall asleep and I'll be right here when you wake up." "Promise?" "Promise." "Will you sing me a song?" "Sure baby." He climbed in bed next to me and started singing 'Something Like That by Tim McGraw'. I slowly fell asleep to the lyrics.
It was Labor Day weekend I was 17
I bought a coke and some gasoline
And I drove out to the county fair
