It was the first day back from the summer holidays and I hated it. I know what your going to say, oh everyone hates school, you'll get over it, blah blah blah, but no, you don't understand. for most people school is just a place where you go chat with your friends do your work maybe mess around and then go home but for me school was hell. I basically have none but 2 friends who I were sure they were only friends with me to make me feel better and everyone avoided me and I was persistently bullied. I couldn't go one day without getting at least one lazy no good dickhead to come up to me and mock me when I have done nothing to them or anyone. so yeah after being off school for 6 weeks and being bully free and coming back where half my year have likely been making huge plans for me I absolutely didn't want to go back.
I neared the front gates and gave a sigh. Well this is it. Clairemont high. I walked through the gates into the big crowd of people and made my way into the school building. the school still looked as it did before. just basically a small 3 story school with red and white walls. nothing special really. welcome banners covered the receptions table and roof. noticing I was getting too distracted I got to my senses and went to my locker. my locker was on the 2nd floor so I had to climb the stairs, look out for people in my year who would basically want to smash my head in just for entertainment and then get my PE kit out for my next class, simple.
Without dawdling I walked up the stairs keeping an eye out for any people in my year and headed for my locker. after a few corner turns I or to my locker, kneeled on the floor and got my key out and unlocked the lock.
*WHACK* a huge force hit my cheek and I stumbled to the floor groaning from the pain.
"Welcome back to school kid! It's nice to see you again" the voice sneered.
This was David white the school bully.
I pushed myself back onto my knees and stared at him in panic. this couldn't happen now! It's not even form yet and I've already got the most vicious bully in front of me. I wanted to run but I knew I couldn't.
"Money now Samantha!" David boomed.
"I...I don't have any money" I pleaded. I definitely didn't want to walk for 2 miles to get home.
"I'm not stupid Samantha hand it over now or ill bray you" David growled taking another step towards me and rolling up his sleeve clenching his fist.
"Ok.Ok here you go... £1.00 now leave me be please" I yelped. I really needed some confidence.
"Cheers" he laughed grabbing it from my hand and then stormed off.
I fell to the floor crying feeling hopeless and worthless. why did no one like me? Then I grabbed my PE kit, wiped my tears and went to form.
