Kenny's POV/
March 22nd
Kenny's birthdayHell yeah! Finally.. I get to see my number before any of my friends do. I smile as I run through the house quickly.
Today's my thirteenth birthday, not only am I now a teenager, but I'll also be ranked! Finally!Shit.. I should get ready first! Oh god what do I wear?? What if I get a one! What if..
No. Who cares if I get a one? I can always write a zero next to it and people will believe I'm a ten! Then I'll get all the girls..
Yeah.. Girls.
I'm a closeted bisexual with a bit of a preference towards men. I keep on promising myself I'll come out of the closet soon. This is.. To much... Pressure..
Oh god I sound like the coffee boy!
Aah!
Okay just..
I turn the lights on in my bathroom. I begin to shake as I look in the mirror..
This is a world where you get a number that says how attractive you are..
Meh! Who cares? I'm sure to be a ten..
Oh the rollercoaster of emotions right now!
"Fuck it!" I shout as I look in the mirror...
I peak at the number on my forehead..
It's..
4..
I got a 4/10..
Am I really that ugly?..
Shit! People at my school can't know about this..
What do I do?..
I feel my heart breaks into tiny pieces.
Everyone hates me.. Everyone thinks I'm ugly..
Everyone...
Everyone!...Everyone thinks I'm a 4/10.
I can't handle this anymore. I start breaking out in tears for Lord knows why. I walk out of the bathroom..What do I do?..
"Merry Christmas!" Karen yells in my face
I jump in surprise, she saw me in tears and looked very concerned."Wh-Whats wrong?.. You're a teenager now! Shouldn't you be happy?" Karen asks giving me a hug.
"Uh.. Yeah.. I am.. Thanks sis." I smile at her hugging her backI always knew I was the ugly one out of my group. I'm grosser than cartman.
"I gotta go see mom okay kar?" I smile at her as I walk away and dash to our parents room.
I open the door gently, as I see my dad sharing a cigarette with my mom like usual.
"Oh uh.. Happy birthday Kenny!" my mom smiles at me.
"It's the boys birthday today?" my father questions.
My mother completely ignores him and stares at me.
"Aww Kenny.. What's wrong?!" she asks"Mom.. Do you have any makeup?..." I ask nervously.
"Makeup? Hell no! I didn't raise a gay son!" my dad snapped back furiously
"First you dressing like a princess and now this?! Jesus Christ! You're 16 years old!"I stared at him upset
"Dad.. I wasn't asking you. I was asking mom. And I'm not 16 years old.. Kevin is..." I respond."Um sorry Kenny I don't have makeup." my mom sighs.
"What do you need it for?" she questionsI nervously walk over to them and show them my rating
A big 4 on my forehead.
My mom's rating was surprisingly a 7, whereas my dad.. He had a 5.. Still better than me though.."Kenny sweetie that doesn't mean anything. You don't have to cover that with makeup!" my mom smiles at me.
Why?! Why am I so unlucky.. A 4?!..
I run to my room..but my brother stops me.
"Hey little bro!" Kevin yells with the hugest grin on his face
"You didn't think I'd forget now did you? Happy birthday! You're finally a teenager.. And!.. You got your number!" he practical grabs my whole body"Uh.. No.. I- I don't think I got it yet..." I sadly respond.
He stares at me confused and then lifts my hair.
My brother was the 'handsome' one of the family.. With a roaring 9. So for him to see his one brother get a low ranking?! He must have been so disappointed. At least I thought.
He hugs me.. I feel suddenly comforted.
"Hey bro. Numbers don't mean shit, you're awesome. And quite good-looking too!" he smiles.
"Now go have a good birthday!"I love my siblings.. They're so helpful.. And I know when Karen grows up she's going to have a 10. I just know it.
I know what my family told me but.. I just can't..
I find this orange hoodie I haven't worn since I was about ten years old.
You know.. I got my first orange hoodie at age four.. What a coincidence.. Now I barely wear orange. My wardrobe consists of band t-shirts (specifically green day) and shirts butters let me 'borrow'
Wow.. I wonder if this still fits.
It was a huge hoodie. It covered a lot of my face..
But the best part is...
Now people will no longer no I'm a four.
