Korean dramas or more popularly known as K-Dramas takes us all to a whole new world to experience a string of various emotions all at once. From a wide variety of genre from romance to comedy to mystery thriller to family drama to actions, I travelled through all these genre's and was never getting enough of them.
Learning their language, admiring their respectful cultures, some delicious looking food and not to mention the packet of noodles they all eat in every drama and makes us crave for it.
At a certain point in my life, I hated noodles or precisely Maggie. It may be because I had to eat it numerous times from my childhood as my snacks. I wasn't even able to have a mere sight of Maggie and despised it. However, watching all these Korean Dramas, made me crave for noodles and started eating again. Now I can eat more than one packet, and I prefer Indomie and Knorr noodles over Maggie.
I even started making them in a style how Koreans make, by adding more water, to drink it as a soup and I don't let the water to sog in the noodles.
Who doesn't like noodles right?
After binge-watching, almost all the popular and amazing dramas out there, I felt like I have had watched enough. Korean dramas were not at all entertaining to me like before. I lost enthusiasm to watch new dramas as I had already watched around two hundred plus dramas.
This was the main problem with me as I easily get bored with anything if I get attached or addicted to it. Nothing lasted forever for me as my type of addiction only lasts for one or two years. After that, I just abandon them, like throwing away a piece of paper.
I was scrolling and viewing all the apps on my phone as there were some apps I never use. That's when I saw Wattpad. I had installed this app when I bought the phone due to Zuha and Salma's suggestion, but I never used it. I did love reading books but, reading from a phone didn't grasp my attention. And, that was the reason why I never used Wattpad. I decided to open it, and within no second, I started reading the books, which they suggested, and I was already loving this app.
Shortly, I got addicted to reading, and binge-read all the books as I was a fast and impatient reader. I was additionally a silent reader, who added all the books to the library and then read it offline. Just like watching Korean dramas, I got completely engrossed and immersed in the books. I was perpetually keenly eager to read what would happen next, and as soon as I finish reading one book, I start the next one. The part I love the most about the books were, how they manage to snatch away my sleep and keeps me awake till the sunrise and still, I could never get enough of reading.
As I was new to Wattpad, I only read completed books as I was impatient and didn't have the tolerance to wait for the updates. I even selected books based on their reads and popularity thinking that, 'Everyone likes and it has so many reads, so it would be good'.
