32. The Pillar of His Life

"Gosh ..." Namjoon shouted hysterically when he saw Jeongguk's arrival with Taehyung who was unconscious in his embrace. Behind him, Mingyu and Seungcheol followed.

With the remaining energy they have, the three of them took Taehyung to Wonwoo's room at the hospital. Making Namjoon widened his eyes for panic of seeing the condition of the four men in front of him, while Wonwoo was still lying unconscious.

Namjoon quickly took Taehyung from Jeongguk's arms and lay him down on the long sofa next to Wonwoo's bed.

"Is he okay? Why is he unconscious?" Namjoon caressed his brother-in-law's face gently, putting aside the hair that covered his face.

"Looks like he's unconscious due to the influence of a drug. Hopefully, he will wake up soon." Jeongguk said with a trembling voice. Sit on the floor against the wall.

"Gosh, your arm." Namjoon rushed to call Doctor Choi when he saw the burn on his brother's right arm.

"How did you get this severe burn?", Asked Doctor Choi while treating Jeongguk's wound. His name is Choi Minho, a human but somehow - don't know how it started- he knows about the clans. Even he was used to treating the wounded clan members.

The prince of the blackbird hissed in pain as the doctor's hand touched his wound. "A damn fox did it." it took a few minutes for Doctor Choi to treat Jeongguk's arm which is now bandaged.

"Now it's my turn to treat you two." said the doctor to Mingyu and Seungcheol who sat not far from their prince. Jeongguk shocked when he realized that two of his trusted people had been injured.

The shirt that Mingyu wearing was full of blood and was severely torn on the right chest, displaying scratch marks which quite deep. While Seungcheol was injured in the temples and shoulders. Fresh blood didn't stop flowing from his left temple, and according to Doctor Choi, he had a fracture in his shoulder bone.

After treating the three, Doctor Choi examines Taehyung's condition. "He was sedated. Most likely he will regain consciousness in half an hour or so." Once he made sure everyone in the room had been treated, he left the room, allowing the men to rest.

"By the way, where's Bogum?" Namjoon asked when he aware that he hadn't seen the presence of his friend since earlier.

Both Jeongguk, Mingyu, and Seungcheol tensed at Namjoon's question. Looked at each other in silence, as if their eyes were saying 'you are the one answering'.

"Did he go home with his brothers?" Namjoon asked again when none of the three answered.

"He died. Yoongi killed him." Dramatically, the cellphone in his hand fell over after hearing the answer coming out of Jeongguk's mouth.

"You said he died? Are you sure?" he still didn't believe.

"We even watched with our own eyes when his head was separated from his body," Mingyu answered.

Namjoon fell, his knees feeling weak, could no longer support his body. The room became quiet, each busy with their thoughts. What happened today was too sudden and too much for them to accept. Taehyung's kidnapping, the attack on Wonwoo, the fight that happened, the injuries they had, until Bogum's death. Everything happened in a short span of time and it's too overwhelmed for them to handle.

"It seems like our effort to protect Taehyung need to stop here. We have to leave everything to fate." In the end, Namjoon spoke in a trembling voice. He doesn't want to say these sentences, but the circumstances say that he must accept reality.
