39. Let's Start Movin'

"Your husband is so scary," said Taehyung. He plopped down on the couch, grimacing a little because his butt still hurt.

"He's your brother, by the way." Namjoon sat in front of his brother-in-law. Give a signal to Jeongguk and Somi to sit along.

After everyone sat down, Taehyung and Jeongguk looked at each other then nodded. "Looks like it's time for the four of us to talk."

"I know everything," Taehyung added. Looking at his brother-in-law with hesitation.

"What do you mean? You know everything?" Namjoon glared at Jeongguk. Last time they agreed to not telling Taehyung anything, but the blackbird prince does the opposite instead.

Taehyung knew what kind of gaze that Namjoon gave to Jeongguk, so he quickly told everything. Just like what he said to Jeongguk at the hospital before.

"So, all this time ..." Namjoon lost his words, he had no idea that his brother-in-law 'knew' everything.

During Taehyung's story, Somi couldn't stop her tears at all. She only knew Taehyung as a man who was easygoing, friendly, cheerful, and always showed his sweet smile. Yet behind that smile, he has been through a terrible life for hundreds of thousands of years. How could that man be so strong?

Without thinking, Somi rushed into Taehyung's arm. "Tae Tae ..." Crying uncontrollably in the embrace of his best friend.

"I'm fine." Only those words he could say to calm Somi. "Shh ... It's okay, don't cry. I'm fine."

"Liar. After everything that you've been through, how could you be okay."

"Because I've been through it all, and not just once, that's why I'm fine. Imagine if I've never experienced that, how scared I am to know that there are people who are after my life."

Taehyung thought Somi would be calmer, but the girl cried even more.

"Tae, I'm sorry because I ever have the thought about not being on your side. I'm sorry in the name of Jimin too because he betrayed you."

"You don't need to apologize Somi. Neither do Jimin. There is no one in fault between you two."

"But he has betrayed you. How can you possibly say that he is innocent? He must apologize to you, I will make sure of that."

"I'm the wrong one. I was wrong for giving him the chance to be trusted."

Why does Taehyung have to get through such a cruel fate when he's so kind? Just thinking about it made Somi roar again in tears.

"Hey little girl, stop crying okay?" Jeongguk sat closer to his sister's side, stroking her back gently.

"Stop calling me little girl," she said with a sob.

"Alright, alright. Stop crying, beautiful woman. There are other things which are more important for us to talk about right now."

"What your brother said is true, Somi-ssi. You have to calm down, now there is something far more urgent for us to discuss," said Namjoon who was over with his surprise.

"Stop calling me Somi-ssi. You are my brother don't call me as if we were strangers."

This time it was Taehyung's turn to stare wide-eyed. He let go of Somi's arms, looked at the other three with a questioning look and a folded arms over his chest. "Right now, there are only four of us left. So I hope we can open up to each other, with nothing to cover up. I have told you everything, so if there are any of you who hiding something, I hope you guys can say it honestly. Because I don't want to put my trust in the wrong person again."
