The land of Stories
I know that so much time has passed since I came into Yugi's care, yet I hardly feel it, thought the tiny dancer on her swing. I wonder what new object he'll been testing when he comes back from dinner. Maybe he'll work on his project instead.
The tiny swing Yugi had made for you hung from a fake tree meant for a fairy garden that sat on the top part of his desk. Yugi had turned parts of his desk to a living area for you out of miniature furniture and a mix of fake and real plants. You were so tiny that he fear taking you out of his room in the beginning but he soon saw how lonely and bored you looked staying in one place.
His grandpa found it odd when he found a mini living space hidden by the register and another in the kitchen and living room. "Did a fairy move in?" He joked to His grandson.
The young man smiled lightly, replying, "Something like that." The older man saw something in his eyes that kept him from burden Yugi with questions. The box, he thought, I sure this has something to do with the box. My grandson is off on another adventure.
Yugi wanted to tell his grandpa, but you didn't want anymore of the big people to know about you. Whenever Yugi was alone in the house and store he would bring you to those hidden spaces. Your favorite place was the game shop since there you could watch different giants coming and going. If it's a slow day, Yugi would show you a toy or game. You loved it when he would share things with you and talk to you but you wished you could talk instead of mime.
In the store you could hear him talking to people and laugh. You dancing could make him smile but you feared that it couldn't convey what you wished to tell him. For the pass few nights you would end your nightly dance miming to him that you loved him, but Yugi would only smile and gift you with a tiny paper rose. He gave you so many that you started placing them in the fake plants in your garden.
If only I was big and had my own voice. I would tell him I love every day.
You sighed at the day dream then started to think of which dance you wanted to do tonight when you hear foot steps coming up the start. You stopped swing for a moment but when you heard three slow knocks you went back to playing. The door opened with Yugi gently calling out, "I'm back. Sorry if I took to long but grandpa wouldn't stop talking." He laugh as he walked to the desk.
She looks so cute when she plays with the swing, he thought while sitting down. He then opened his laptop to look at his emails. "Three new request for me to do some beta testing. One asking me to a promotional add. No, thank you and one from Kaiba Corp asking me to attend a public event." He sighed shaking his head saying, "Delete."
After reading all his emails, Yugi glanced up at you and asked, "I have some games I need to test but I haven't worked on my own ideas for a while, what do you think I should do?"
You paused your swinging and pointed at him. Yugi chuckled and nodded his head. "You're right. I need to work on my own project. Do you want to see what I have so far?"
You gave a sharp nod and got off your swing. As Yugi opened the file, you climbed down a long ladder to reach to desk table. Yugi placed a soft pin cushion for you to sit on and waited till you sat comfortably in your seat.
"It's a type of chess game," Yugi explained as he showed you his designs. "Once it's ready I'm going to challenge Kaiba and test it out on him."
