We start running away from the walkers from the prison. Dad would be in front, and Beth would be at the end. We kept running through a field. We are exhausted, and we all fall down from being tired. Daddy makes a fire, and we stay by it for the night.

"We should do something. We should do something. We aren't the only survivors. We can't be. Rick, Michonne, they could be out here. Maggie and Glenn could have made it out of A block. They could've. You're a tracker. You can track. Come on. The sun will be up soon. If we head out now, we can-- Fine. If you won't track, I will." Beth says grabbing her knife, and leaving.

"We have to go." I say grabbing my stuff, and following Beth. Dad puts out the fire, and follows me.

We walked the woods until it was day, and Dad finds some footprints, and Beth says, "Could be Luke's. Or Molly's. Whoever they are, it means they're alive."

"No. This means they were alive four or five hours ago." Dad says.

"They're alive." Beth says not thinking they could be dead.

We followed the tracks, and Dad points out, "They picked up the pace right here. Got out in a hurry. Things went bad."

"Wouldn't kill you to have a little faith." Beth says.

"Yeah, faith. Faith ain't done shit for us. Sure as hell didn't do nothing for your father." Dad says pushing it.

"They'll be hungry when we find them." Beth says picking berries, and Dad gives her a handkerchief to put them in, and we follow Dad into the woods, and we stopped and see 2 dead walkers, and Beth says "What?" as Dad looks at the bushes with blood on it.

"That ain't walker blood." Daddy says.

"The trail keeps going. They fought them off." Beth says trying to follow the trail

"No. Got walker tracks all up and down here. At least a dozen of them." Dad says as a branch snaps. A walker comes out of the woods, and grabs me. I try to get it off of me, but I couldn't. Daddy grabs the walker, and holds it down as Beth kills it. "Come on." Dad says getting up. We come across a railroad, and we see a walker eating something. Daddy kills them, and we see a boot, see that Luke, and Molly didn't make it. Me, and Dad starts walking away, and Beth starts crying. I run up to her, hug her, and started to cry. We walk back to the woods to hold up somewhere for the night. Daddy makes a fire for the night, and I lay on Beth's lap. The next day, we made a camp so we don't have to run anymore. That night, we went out to find stuff to use, we then made it out of the woods, and we are now on a street with an abandon car. "Come on," Dad says as he keeps watch as me, and Beth check the car. Beth tries to start it up, but it didn't start, and we hear walkers, and Dad motions us to go in the trunk. I go in first, then Beth, and then Daddy. After Daddy got in he ties the top of the trunk with the bottom so it wouldn't open. We can hear the walkers passing by, and I started to get scared. Beth puts an arm around me, and I close my eyes, and ended up falling asleep. "Wake up pumpkin," Daddy whispers to me, and I get up, and get out of the trunk. Daddy, and Beth picks up scraps that will help us, as I stretch after being in a crammed trunk.

"Let's go Madison," Beth says as we walk down the road. We go back to camp, and Beth makes a fire as I watched. We made the camp more secure, and Dad went to go get food. Dad comes back with a snake, and cooks it. I eat the snake meat very slowly, and Beth says, "I need a drink." Dad throws a bottle with water in it, and she continued to say, "No, I mean a real drink. As in alcohol. I've never had one. 'Cause of my dad. But he's not exactly around anymore, so... I thought we could go find some. Okay. Well, enjoy your snake jerky." She gets up, and grabs her knife, and leaves.

I look at Daddy, and he says, "What?"

"Dad." I say with a stern look on my eyes.

"Fine." Daddy say knowing I wanted him to check on Beth.
