Sadi Williams' POV

***

Shopping.

That was Aiden's idea of bonding.

SHOPPING.

I was still in shock from this morning as we went from store to store in the mall. About this morning...

***

I was making scrambled eggs while Aiden waited patiently at the counter.

It was all I'd do to thank him for whatever last night. I felt my cheeks heat up in embarrassment.

Pathetic.

I was snapped out of my daze at the sound of Aiden's voice.

"Would you like to go shopping?"

I laughed in response. Shopping?! Was he joking?

"What?" I said after my laughing fit.

"I said...would you like to go shopping?"

Once again, I burst out laughing.

"Hey! You're burning the eggs!" He pointed.

I turned off the stove and put the eggs on a plate, then pushed it towards him.

"No." I said.

"No?" He asked.

"No, I would not like to go shopping."

"What? Why not?" He questioned with a mouthful of eggs.

"Because no." I shrugged.

"That's not a real reason." He protested.

I rolled my eyes. "We're not even friends." I took a seat on the couch and turned on the TV.

"You're right. We're not friends. We're mates. And mates, they spend time together." Aiden explained.

I scoffed. "Disgusting. Shopping is the best idea you have?"

"So that's a yes?"

"No, no, no. I'm just curious."

"And I'm just curious about you. Come on, please?" He begged.

"No. You can go now." I made a gesture to the door.

"Really?"

"No, just kidding." I said sarcastically.

Aiden made a face at me and washed the dishes.

"Thanks." I mumbled.

"Now will you go shopping?" He asked while taking a seat too close to me.

I pushed him with no success and scooted over only to have him follow me until we were at the edge of the couch.

"Move over." I demanded.

"No."

"Aiden. Move. Over."

"I said no."

"Aiden!" I cried.

"Nope."

"Fine! I'll go shopping with you. Gosh, you big baby."

Aiden smiled at me and took me by surprise by kissing my cheek. "Thank you." He whispered in my ear.

My face flushed red and I turned away from him, not wanting to see that arrogant smirk on his lips.

"Yeah, whatever. Now go." I muttered.

"I'll pick you up at 1?" Aiden tapped my shoulder.

I glanced at the clock. 11:45 AM. "Sure, mhm. Whatever."
