"Do you have your passport?" Olivia's grandma asked her.
"Yeah, right here." She replied as she took the document out of the back of her jean's pocket.
"Are you sure it's not expired?"
"Yes, I've checked at least three times." The teen walked to the front door and put on her coat. The elder watched her granddaughter in awe, she was growing up so fast.
"What are you looking at?" She stood up from the couch and walked over her, resting her arms on her shoulder as a form of comfort.
"Were you always this independent and mature?" Olivia tilted her head with a small smile directed at her.
"Kinda."
"But something has changed."
"I'm still the same, G."
"No, no. You've changed. You're hiding things from me now." Olivia's smile fell and her expression changed for a worried one.
"Gr-"
"No, I know you're a teenager but you're hiding a lot of things: the Stark Internship..."
"I wanted to surprise you."
"...that ridiculous costume-"
"Just trying new things out, nothing serious."
"What about your boyfriend?" That's when her jaw fell to the floor. She couldn't believe it. How'd she know?
"Wh-What? I..I don't have a-a boyfriend. That's ridiculous. Who...who told you that?"
"Oh, please. Whenever you look at your phone you have this huge smile with lovey eyes. I know that look, I had it too whenever I met a cute boy." The teen sighed when her grandmother smirked and raised her left eyebrow in a questionable expression.
"Who's he? Peter or Ned?" Her cheeks turned a bright shade of red. She couldn't think of the boys as boyfriend material back then.
"Wha-What?! No! Ew! Neither of them."
"Then who?" She bit her lower lip in defeat and pulled out her phone to show her a picture of Jake.
"Oh, Lordy!" Anna exclaimed in a gasp after seeing a picture of him, making Olivia blush even harder if that was even possible.
"What's his name?"
"Jake Dorman."
"That's a good catch."
"Th-Thanks."
"But you are grounded for not telling me about him and lying to me whenever you went on dates with him." She wanted to protest but deep down she knew she was right after all.
"Yes, of course."
"Now, go to Berlin and give the best you've got. Sila."
"Sila." She repeated in a whisper before kissing her and going out of the building.
"I'm so proud of you, Olly." The elder said to a closed door. If she had only heard that.• • •
It had been 30 minutes since Oliva was stuck in the cold weather, waiting for her Uber to arrive in front of her building.
"Where is he?" She asked to herself, she was gonna be late for the flight is the car didn't hurry up.
"Hey, you!" She heard a familiar voice shout. She raised her head and saw a limousine in front of her with one of the tinted windows down. Tony Stark.
"Hop on!" He ordered but she didn't follow his order.
"I don't trust you. I have an Uber coming up to pick me up."
"Sweetie, we are your Uber. Now come in or we'll be late by the time we arrive in Berlin. Your boyfriend is here too if you need some reassurance." Her eyes locked on Peter's who had rolled down his window. He was sitting on the row before Tony and she could admire a pretty redhead sitting on his left.
"He's not my boyfriend!" She protested before getting in and sitting next to Peter.
"Hi." He greeted shyly.
"Shut up."
"Is she always like this?" Mr. Stark asked when the limo started moving again, gaining a glare from the young girl.
"Only when she's hungry or just doesn't like you."
"Oh, guess you must be hungry then, right?" She crossed her arms over her chest, refusing to answer.
"I'll take that as a yes, but I think you don't like me either, huh?"
"How could I like you? I don't even trust you. You came in our lives less than two weeks ago and pretended for us to fight alongside you."
"She has a point." The redhead said.
"Agreed." Another man with a metallic aspect sitting on Tony's right added. Although she was supposed to be surprised by his appearance she wasn't, she was expecting this, they're superheroes after all. Not all of them were humans.
"Thanks."
"No prob, Natasha Romanoff." The teens shook her hand and repeated their actions with the other man.
"Vision." He said coldly.
"Peter."
"Olivia."
"You recruited two children?" An adult asked, he was sitting next to Vision.
"Well, James. What'd you expect me to do? They're young, strong and agile."
"Do they even have a license?"
"We're-we're both... fifteen." Peter stated timidly.
"Fifteen?!"
"I turned about a month ago." The girl added.
"Before or after you got your powers?" Peter asked her curiously.
"While I was in the coma." She replied casually, almost as if she didn't die back then. That's when an awkward silence came in and Peter regretted asking such a personal question. T'Chala decided to interrupt the uncomfortable silence with a question.
"She's had her powers for only one month?!" The king of Wakanda asked after he remained silent for the entire conversation. Now Olivia was starting to get angry. They all were underestimating her. She was determined to prove them wrong.
"Calm down, your highness. She can be a lethal weapon if she wants to."
"What are your powers?" Natasha asked Peter who was fidgeting with his fingers in discomfort.
"Well...wall-crawling, super strength, speed, reflexes, stamina, healing and agility, and...and-a...Spider-Sense."
"What's that?"
"I-It's like an early warning system."
"What about you?" Colonel James Rhodes asked Olivia.
"Fire, electricity, super speed, a little bit of strength, stamina, my body can fully regenerate and I'll have no scars..." She was hesitant to tell them about her state when she lost control.
"And?" Tony encouraged her to continue.
"When I lose control, I reach a state where my powers are basically multiplied by ten."
"They're both lethal weapons Tony, we don't wanna kill them." The Black Widow warned.
"We are not gonna kill them, we'll use them to intimidate them."
"I don't think that a five-foot girl and a Spider-Boy will scare them, no offense kids."
"I-It's fine, Colonel." The boy replied before Olivia, knowing that she would've said some bitter words to him.• • •
"Okay, are you all suited up?" Tony asked his team after they had arrived and evacuated the airport.
"Y-Yes, Mr. Stark." Peter confirmed as everyone else started hiding across the area.
"Sila. Why do you have that word stitched on?" Natasha asked Olivia after analyzing her costume.
"My grandma stitched it. It means a lot to her, therefore it means a lot to me too. It means 'strength'"
"I know."
"How?"
"Может быть, я рыжий, но ты здесь не единственный русский." The Black Widow stared before disappearing in the battlefield.
"What's she say?" Peter asked her.
"I might be a redhead, but you're not the only Russian here."
"Well, that's impressive."
"It is." She stated before the two of them hid behind a bus, waiting for Captain America and his team to show up.
Luckily, they just had to wait a few seconds before Steve ran through an underpass, then jogged onto a private runway, heading for a grounded chopper. An electro-disabler slammed onto the chopper and he looked up, watching Iron Man and War Machine decent.
"Oh my gosh, this is amazing!" The boy said in amazement but Olivia was not having it, inside her head she was already in the fighting mindset.
"Shut up."
"Sorry."
"Wow, it's so weird how you run into people at the airport. Don't you think that's weird?" Tony said with his usual sarcasm.
"Definitely weird." Rhodes confirmed.
"Hear me out, Tony. That doctor, the psychiatrist, he's behind all of this." Both teens had no idea what he was talking about, they were just supposed to fight against him.
T'Challa leaped over a truck.
"Captain." He greeted.
"Your highness." Olivia was surprised by how calm they were.
"Anyway, Ross gave me 36 hours to bring you in. That was 24 hours ago. Can you help a brother out?"
"You're after the wrong guy." Steve Rogers replied to Iron Man
"Your judgment is askew. Your old war buddy killed innocent people yesterday."
"And there are five more super soldiers just like him. I can't let the doctor find them first, Tony. I can't." Black Widow finally walked out of her hideaway to approach the group.
"Steve... you know what's about to happen. Do you really wanna punch your way out of this one?"
"All right, I've run out of patience. Underoos!" This was the sign.
Olivia launched a bolt through her right hand towards Steve's shield while securing herself with her left one wrapped around Peter's neck as he jumped super high on top of a car. That way she made Steve drop his shield so that Peter could shoot a web, stealing it and binding his hands.
"Nice job, kids." Mr. Stark said in a cheerful voice after they landed.
"Thanks. Well, I could've stuck the landing a little better. It's just the new suit... Well, it's nothing, Mr. Stark. It's—it's perfect. Thank you."
"Peter, you're embarrassing yourself." She whispered.
"You're right, sorry."
"Yeah, we don't really need to start a conversation."
"Okay." Olivia took a minute and smiled politely at the other team. She didn't want to seem scared, although she was, and a lot.
"Captain. Big fan, I'm Firebolt."
"Yeah, we'll talk about it later. Just-" Tony was interrupted by the boy again.
"Hey, everyone."
"...Good job."
"You've been busy."
"And you've been a complete idiot. Dragging in Clint. 'Rescuing' Wanda from a place she doesn't even want to leave, a safe place. I'm trying to keep...I'm trying to keep you from tearing the Avengers apart."
"You did that when you signed."
"Alright, We're done. You're gonna turn Barnes over, you're gonna come with us. Now! Because it's us! Or a squad of J-SOC guys... with no compunction about being impolite. Come on." Steve turned his head to the side for a split second before raising his webbed hands. In that moment an arrow was shot and Peter's web was ripped apart by it.
"Alright, Lang." Olivia frowned in confusion, who was Steve Rogers talking to? But her doubts were quickly solved when she saw something moving on the shield Peter was holding.
"Hey guys, something-"
"Peter, watch out!" She yelled before Ant-Man increased his dimensions, kicking Peter's face and making him fall.
That was it, the game was on.
