"What did you say her parents did again?" Theo asked raiding their cabinets. Draco mentally hexed him.

"Dentists, and any food in there would be rotten. No one has been living here for a while." He said picking up dust between his thumb and fingers.

"Theo, can you help look for clues. You're acting like a child." Pansy said standing up from looking underneath the couch.

"Sorry, Merlin i was only checking." He said searching their dining room. Draco stayed silent, examining every inch of the house.

He felt like there was something here. A clue that would lead him to Hermione. He felt closer to her in her house. Her pictures showing her smile, made him miss her more. It made him wonder why anyone would take her. He stopped these thoughts, knowing what would happen if they continued. He would just get angry and lash out.

"Wait come over here." Blaise called out from upstairs. He was in her parents room. The three followed each other up the stairs getting closer to the voice of Blaise.

"What is it?" Pansy said staring at Blaise standing outside of the parents bed room. Theo scratched his head trying to figure out what could possibly be out of place.

"Blaise I don't see anything." Pansy said bothered he would make a fuss about nothing.

"No look it's—,"

"Footsteps." Draco finished for him. He crouched down and examined the footsteps that were on her parents dusty floor.

Pansys eyes went wide. An actual clue. Or was it not? It could have been anyone...but it seems like it was more than that.

"What would they be doing in her parents room?" Theo asked. Draco stepped in and walked around. He looked through their drawers and noticed something on top of their dresser.

He then looked to the bedstand and it confirmed his suspicions.

"Draco? What is it mate?" Blaise said looking where he was looking.

"Either Hermione came here herself and took picture frames of their desks...or someone else did for her." He said thinking hardly. She didn't seem like the person to come back here after all that happened.

He checked the rest of the house. In their bathroom it looked spotless, but why would something be taken? He checked the guest bedroom and looked around for more clues.

"So what does it mean if someone came to get the pictures?" Theo asked. Pansy sighed and looked to Blaise. Blaise looked to Draco.

They all watched him stand outside of her bedroom door. He knew he wouldn't be able to take the fact that she wouldn't be in there like he hoped she would. That for some reason she ended up here.

Draco blinked when he entered Hermiones room. It was not at all what he expected. The cleanliness of it all was expected, but there were absolutely no books in sight.

He thought back on every conversation they had. There was no way Hermione Granger grew up without books.

Then the thought occurred to him, whoever had her, kept her alive.

Hermione was reading in her room when Ginny came into her room to see how she was feeling. She rushed out of dinner saying she felt sick.

"Gin i'm fine. I just haven't eaten that much is so long. I'm sure that's all it was." She said knowing she needed to be reassured. Ginny smiled and laid her hand on Hermione forehead.

The spell might've worn off by now. She was nervous that Ginny would be able to tell Hermione was faking getting better.

"I'm glad you're getting better. I don't know what I would do without you." She said and looked down at Hermiones book and raised an eyebrow.

"History of Hogwarts?" She chuckled a bit. Hermione smiled and closed it.

"I want to feel my old self again...I feel like this is where to begin. I mean dinner felt like old times and I realized how much I missed it." Even though not all of it was true, Hermione knew Ginny was satisfied. Her eyes sparkled and she nodded.

"I was thinking the same thing Mione. It felt like us again. Before the war...Before everything." She looked down then stood up.

"Well I'll let you get back to it." She said smiling. Hermione watched her walk out of the room and then she broke down.

She stood up to stare out the window. She whispered to herself.

"Where are you Draco?"

She wiped the tears off her cheek. She needed him now, more than ever.

She stared down at the drop she would be taking in only a matter of days. Her plan was going to have to work in order for her to get back to Draco.

"Mione?" A small voice interrupted her thoughts. She turned around to see Harry. She smiled at him and set her book down.

"I wanted to ask..well i don't know. I just thought it would be best to ask you first—even if i should do it. And i know that it's terrible timing...i mean with you and everything."

"Get on with it Harry." She said trying to speed him up. He blinked for a bit then sighed.

"Should i propose to Ginny?" Hermione couldn't contain her excited gasp.

"Yes!" She smiled widely.

"I mean now? Like soon. Because i don't want to be overwhelming or anything." He said fiddling with his thumbs.

"Harry! Yes do it. Oh! That'll be so amazing. Oh gosh i'm so excited for you!  Don't worry about the timing because when the time is right in your heart then it's right. I mean it's just like dr..." She started to say his name then realized she might have messed up her whole plan.

"Sorry. Yes you should do it." She said turning back to the window. Harry looked down and felt a sadness in his chest for her. He doesn't know what he would do with Ginny.

"Mione you know we're just trying to protect you right?" He said walking closer to her.

"Yeah...of course." She didn't move from the window. Harry walked away slowly. He begun to think about the idea of the two of them. He wondered if Draco wanted to protect her...and if that's why they were running away.
