Holding her small hand in mine, the fox girl and I were walking together to the spot we first met. The walk was silent but it wasn't uncomfortable nor was it awkward it was rather peaceful we both kept a smile on our faces before I had to stop her in her tracks to tell her “Hey let me give you a name it seems you don't have one and well I have to call you something” she look delighted before nodding in agreement with me “hm how about….nini?” The cute fox girl’s ears turn towards the ground with a disgusted look on her face “oh c'mon it's not that bad I'm not good with nicknames cut me some slack alright?....hm how about Eden” she pondered for a second looking around in thought before her lovely grin came back “Eden!”
“You like that? Good your name for now on is Eden-” I froze surprised to see Eden crawl underneath my hand almost like a puppy begging for pets “you want me to pet you huh?” I gently pat her soft hair and rubbed behind her ears carefully not knowing how sensitive they are. “Let's keep walking once we make it to our spot I'll teach you more English”After making it to the circle shaped spot we first met at. I began to teach her basic English though it wasn't long before she was speaking confidently in front of me almost fluent I notice she catches on fast and easily. It was dark by now and I know I must go back home to my parents who are probably worried sick but I didn't want to go….not yet at least. The dark skies and cold winds against my skin gave me chills and had me in thought “Alright we have been working for hours let's hear what you know” Eden sat up smiling proud “Hi my name is Eden how are you?” Amazed but also excited I responded to her quickly “I'm good, Eden thank you for asking” She smiled turning her head towards the ground “I am a fox spirit I will forever...be with..fee-bee and protect...fee-bee” She seemed to be very clingy to me, this wasn't a problem just something I noticed. I've only read about fox spirits I never really believed in them until I met one. I do know, from my research that a fox spirit is rare and hard to find. In fact once they attach them self to you they'll slowly become more and more human like, perhaps that's why my parents couldn't see her I am the one she chose to be with.
“Eden it's getting dark and cold would you...will you please come with me for tonight, I'll sleep on the floor! And you can sleep in my bed.. if you don't want to I understand-” “I-I wants to go with fee-bee and stay with fee-bee forever!” even though my face was cold from the freezing wind my cheeks were warm due to how cute Eden was "Okay let's go"“Now remember you have to stay quiet Eden my parents can't know you're here okay?” Softly I whispered this to the shivering fox who was desperate to get inside the warm house. With my hand on the knob to the front door Eden nodded in agreement before I opened it slowly trying to be as quiet as possible. By now I wasn't sure how long it would take her to be visible to the human eye but I wasn't gonna risk her getting caught. “Fabian sweetie is that you?” out of panic from hearing my mother's voice coming from nowhere I quickly pulled Eden by her arm my grip being a little too tight on her but she didn't even flinch before I hide her behind me “Y-Yes mom! It's me sorry I'm home so late” my laugh hidden behind my nervous sweat my mother's worn out face just stared at me before she turned to go back to her room once again without a word. “Mother of God” I sighed greatly in relief before checking to see if I had hurt my fox friend. “I'm sorry I grabbed you like that are you alright?” Oddly enough although her wrist was red from my grip the smile on her face and the love in her eyes remained.
