CHAPTER 5 (DEAD MEAT): EDITED

I kept struggling in the pair of arms that pulled me that I didn't notice that the stitches on my arm were opened. I stopped struggling and saw blood flowing down my arm. It was Nate who pulled me.

"Jasmine, you're bleeding," Nate said "I can see I have eyes" I replied.  He sighed and said, "let's get you to the nurse's office."

"Dear what happened to you," she asked while undoing the bandage on the wound. "What happened before you had a wound like this?" Oh, I got shot on a mission I went on since I'm a spy, I wanted to reply to her.

"It's a long story" I replied "Alright, let's stitch you up." Once she finished I thanked her and left with Nathan.

"What happened" he inquired worriedly. "I got shot" I answered. The bell rang alerting me that it was lunch over. 

I have Nate a kiss on the lips muttering a quick goodbye and went off to find Maddie. On my way, my phone buzzed in my pocket. It was a message from the Society.

"ALERT ALL AGENTS,
We all must meet today, to find out the chosen ones to be recruited.
Thank you."

Oh God, I mustn't go, I prayed silently. I couldn't find Maddie so I went on with my activities for the day until the final bell rang.

Now I have to find my crazy twin and my boyfriend. I went to the football field where the cheerleaders and the football team were having tryouts. And guess who the judges were, my brother and the devil's daughter.

I walked confidently and went to stand in front of the table they were sitting at. "What do you want"? Leah asked. I ignored her and pointed to Jay " come with me" I said in a big sister strict tone. We were twins, yes but I came first which makes me the oldest.

When we were at a safe distance from you know who. "You are aware we have to go to the Society," I said "and mom and dad won't let you hear the end of it if you don't come" I added. "Why say me when it's two of us?" " I can pull the I got shot card". He cursed under his breath and we left.

"We have gathered for a reason, so let's begin," my dad said.

"The agents being recruited are, Agent Nathan Hunter, Agent Lily Kent, Agent Ellen Finn, and Agent Eric Cooke." How could they do this to me, I didn't hate my parents but how could they recruit  Nate, and he was supposed to leave at the weekend.

I went to my mom's office and cried for a while until mom came in.

"Jasmine, please don't cry  we had no choice and his parents agreed, and besides, we are going to the palace your aunt finally found a prince to marry her."  She chuckled.

"Does that mean I get to plan my first royal wedding"? " Yes" she answered and  I squealed in delight and hugged her.

My mom was the queen of the most powerful kingdom in India. And I was a princess.

"Hey mom, did you find Kim's family?" "Yes, we did". I left her office and allowed her to work.

The weekend came faster than I expected and today Nate was going he was leaving me for like five years. I didn't want to get out of bed.

I stayed in bed when my family went to the Society to bid farewells. Yes, I didn't say goodbye and the last I saw him was at the recruitment meeting.

My phone was ringing while I was trying to sleep but I ignored it but, it kept ringing. I picked it up and checked the time, it was 11:45 at night.

"Maddie what the hell. Why would you call me at this time?" I said "J-Jasmine c-c-can you pick me up" she was crying, what was wrong?  "Where are you?".  " Four houses down your street" I was out of bed and rushed downstairs.

I drove fast to the house. She was at a party, but why was she crying. I parked on the street and rushed inside the house. 
"Have you seen Maddie?" I asked different people until I saw her.

I rushed to her side " Maddie let's go" I led her to my cat and sped to my house. I called her parents and told them that she was staying at my place.

"Maddie, what happened?" I asked worriedly " He- he tried to rape me," she said crying " Who's he?" I asked "L-l-Lewis B-B-lyth" she answered between sobs. 

He's dead meat.
