Y/n: "Ah New York, it's been a while since I've been here." She mumbled walking into the airport with her carry-on bag.

Bella: "How long has it been?" She asked looking at Y/n.

Y/n: "Well-"

Damon: "About a year." He cut in making Y/n roll her eyes.

Y/n: "It's been a year for you...for me, it's been maybe five or so."I looked at her wide-eyed

Gigi: "Five? I thought you would have come here more since it's the city that never sleeps," I said. Y/n simply shrugged.

Y/n: "I know, it's just that-"

Damon: "She doesn't like to do business trips or any trips." He cut in again, joining us. She removed her jacket and looked at her brother with pure irritation evident in her eyes.

Y/n: "Are you suffering from lack of attention?" She asked making everyone look at her shocked. "Because they're talking to me and last time I checked, I have a mouth to talk and I can form sentences of my own, Damon." She snapped.

Kendall: "Well....shit." She muttered looking between both siblings.

James: "Y/n, be nicer-"

Y/n: "No thanks, he isn't my favorite child," She spoke looking at him.

We all looked between James, Damon, and Y/n and gulped. I could tell that the tension between them had grown over the past few weeks. Y/n had gone to a meeting with them and when she came back, her attitude was sour. She went back to being herself but when it came to them, her attitude went back to being sour.

Something probably happened but she didn't tell me about it and I didn't pressure her to.

Yolanda: "Okay, hows about we all try to act civil with each other since it's Christmas? After all, it's about family and being happy about spending time with each other." She said trying to ease the tension. I saw Y/n look at her and slowly relax, letting her features soften.

Y/n: "If that's what you want Ms. Hadid, okay. I'll try," She said smiling at her.

Yolanda: "It's Yolanda and thank you, Y/n. The same applies to the both of you." She said sending warnings to both Damon and James. "Now, let me tell you about the ranch..." She said dragging Y/n away.

Abel: "Your mom loves Y/n. It's unreal," He said walking with us. I watched how my mom and Y/n talked and smiled slowly.

Gigi: "I can see, Y/n loves it though. She misses having a mom and you know how our mother is," I said making them smile sadly.

Anwar: "Yeah, so what do you think happened between the Y/l/n's?" He asked seeing how Damon and James stayed behind my mom and Y/n as they talked.

Bella: "No idea but they had it out. Y/n looks like she would snap one of their necks at any given moment," She said looking at Y/n.

Kendall: "Well whatever it is, it was pretty big because they can't even hold it together now." She said since it was Christmas.

Gigi: "I guess so, she hasn't said anything." I said since they knew Y/n talked to me a lot.

I saw Bella subtly smirk and turn to talk to Abel. We stood outside the airport in the cold weather and waited for our car since Y/n hired one for us. Two black SUVs pulled up making some men come out and load our bags in the car.
