"I can't do this," You whispered, staring down at the busy streets below you. Your heart was thumping wildly in your chest, and your palms were getting a bit sweaty, which wasn't comfortable in your suit.
'Go big or go home' was what Mei had said, and sure, while you had tested your web shooters out a bit, you weren't sure you were ready to jump off a building.
The height made you a little dizzy, and your limbs trembled ever so slightly the longer you stared.
No, there was no way you could do this. Maybe you should just call Mei and tell her that this was a bad idea and that you couldn't do it--
'If no one pushes you, you don't do it.'
Shinsou's words rang out in your head as if you had heard them only a few minutes ago, even though it had been several days since you confronted him and you hadn't even seen him since then.
Still, the sentence rang in your mind and almost seemed to taunt you. You clenched your fists. You could do something on your own. You've gotten this far, haven't you? Were you really going to just give up now because it was too scary?
You squeezed your eyes shut and took a deep breath. Then you looked over the edge of the building once again. It was still as daunting as before, and your gut still twisted as every fiber of your body said not to do it.
"Plus Ultra," You whispered to yourself.
And then you jumped.
Wind whistled past your form, and as you fell, you tried to ignore how the ground was rushing up to meet you, and you started looking for possible places to shoot your webbing at. You shot it at a nearby building and yanked, swinging up into the air. The moment you began descending again, you shot out another web and repeated your actions.
Thwip.
Whoosh.
Thwip.
Whoosh.
It. Was. Thrilling.
Below you, you could hear gasps from civilians, and when you looked down, several were pointing or filming you. You almost decided to turn invisible, but...
The attention was really nice.
Rather than eye-rolls and huffs of annoyance at your mere existence, you were getting looks of wonder and curiosity.
You got a bit daring, and twisted your body as you became airborne once again, and waved to all the people watching. You basked in their gaping mouths and wide eyes for a bit longer, and then decided it was time to disappear.
You faded from sight, but kept swinging. At one point you ran along the side of a building before leaping into the air again, twisting and turning and relying on this new instinct that buzzed throughout your entire body.
Was this what being a Pro Hero felt like?
If so...you loved it.

"I have a family friend named Daisuke," Mei whispered to you as you tested out the replica of Aizawa's scarf, using it to pick up a wrench that was across the table. The scarf moved exactly how it was supposed to, you just didn't have the experience to control it.
"And?" You said, using the capture weapon once again, this time to retrieve a whole toolbox.
"He can teach you martial arts. He's pretty trustworthy too, so if you told him about you-know-what, he wouldn't tell anyone else," Mei continued, her voice still hushed. "You'd need to know how to fight if you wanna...oh, hey Shinsou!"
