I just woke up to the sound of gunshots, like usual, but this time it was close to my apartment. As the gunshots went off I heard a faint scream, and I've decided to go investigate, if it's the killer I'd be able to find the body before the soldiers came through and cleaned up. I left my apartment, although this time through the front door because I've figured out that the soldiers stop patrolling at about 9:00. I still remain quiet, and I still stuck to the shadows, due to my fear of the occasional night patrol. I had no exact location to so I just went in the direction of the gunshots. As I kept walking arrived at a narrow alleyway, that was long enough for me to be unable to see the end, but looked like the ideal place to murder someone. So I started down the alley and several times I heard the faint sound of footsteps, but it sounded as if they were running, so I payed little attention to them. After a few more minutes of walking I then came upon a body. I was greatfull that I finally had some hard evidence to work with. I couldn't make out much, so I lit a small candle that I snatched up just before leaving.
I looked through his pockets and found his credentials, I also was able to find two shells I couldn't make out what caliber they were with the insufficient lighting. As I continued looking through the person, the faint footsteps began sounding closer. I became more hurried in my search for clues. I noted that the man was shot twice in the chest and then concluded and began to leave.
As I was exiting the alleyway someone ran into me and knocked me to the ground. As I scrambled around i quickly came to realize I had a gun pointed at me. Then I heard the person ask me why I was here, and to my surprise it was a woman's voice. I told her,"That I was investigating the gunshots to try and find the killer." She grabbed me by my shirt and pulled me to my feet and told me that I better not be lying or she'll put a bullet in me. Then she went through her bag and produced a rope and tied my hands. Then she told me to come with her, and reluctantly I did so.
