A Fresh Start

Chapter 1- The Reveal (Edited)

It's been 1 month since The Giant War. I've been living happily with Annabeth and our friends, or at least I tried to. Jason, Piper, Hazel and Frank made the decision to live in Camp Jupiter while Annabeth and I decided to stay at Camp Half-Blood. Mighnwihle, Leo made the decision to stay with Calypso on her Island. The saddest thing that I never expected to happen in my life is the fact My mom and Paul died in a car crash. I was so lost when it happened and I never have felt so alone up till that moment.

 Life hasn't been exactly as I pictured it,  Annabeth getting busy with architecture and doesn't even make an effort to spend time with me, Thalia is being busy with the Hunters of Artemis, Nico spends most of his time in the underworld and Grover is occupied with being the lord of the wild. The only person that I had was Zoë.

I know what you're thinking, 'If Thalia was busy with The Hunters of Artemis why isn't Zoë?' Well, Zoë kinda quit the hunters after the 2nd war.

"Good day Perseus! what is thy purpose? (Hello Perseus! What are you doing?)"  Zoë asked, walking into my cabin.

"Oh, just drawing something." I replied. Zoe's the only one that knows that I like drawing, not even Annabeth knows and she's my girlfriend. After Tartarus, Annabeth has gotten a bit distant.

"Oh, what are thou drawing? (Oh, what  are you drawing)" she asked, curiously stealing glances at the sketch "Join on Perseus, thou trust me. (Come on Perseus, you can trust me.)" she said, giving me the puppy dog eyes I can't say no to.

"Ok, ok, but before I tell you, you have to swear on the River Styx not to say unless I say otherwise."

She gives me a look.

"Fine, here." I say revealing the drawing.



"By the gods who gave me life, that is gorgeous! Annabeth shall love it." Zoë exclaimed.

"You really think so? You think Annabeth will like it? You think she'll say yes?" I asked, excitedly.

"Annabeth will love thy gesture of romance," she said while giving me a hug. 

Now all I have to do is invite Annabeth to the beach tonight and pop the question. Lord Hephaestus owed me a favour so he told me that when I had finished sketching, the ring and a box would appear in my pocket.

~Hello I am Bob and I will be your time skip. Oh, look my granddaughter, Zoë! Hi sweetie~

I was waiting for Annabeth in front of the Athena cabin when she finally arrived it was three hours before curfew and an hour before dinner.

"Hey, wise girl!"

"Oh Percy, hey." she greeted.

"Can you meet me on the beach after dinner?" I asked trying to hide my fear.

"Sure thing, seaweed brain." at that, she closed the door on my face.

I had skipped dinner to make sure everything was set for the proposal. As I was walking to the beach I heard familiar voices, one boy and the other definitely know, Annabeth. I was about to tell them that it was dinner time when I saw what they were doing, they were kissing.

"Annabeth!" I screamed out.

"Percy! What are you doing here?" she screeched.

"What the hell Annabeth! What am I doing here? What you doing here? With him? Cheating? Really? That's really low Annabeth. How long has this been going on?" I say, still screaming, trying to stop the tears from flowing out.

"When you disappeared I got lonely, ok! It's not my fault!"

"Here I am thinking I was going to propose to you. Guess I don't need this engagement ring anymore." I say as I threw the ring on the ground.

Once Annabeth saw the ring, she started to cry.

"Goodbye, Annabeth Chase..."
