I was waiting for Perseus in his cabin, excited for him to return with good news. Instead, he came back with a look. A look that showed sadness. A look that showed anger. A look that showed betrayal.
" Perseus, what is wrong?"
"She...she ch...cheated on...." That's when he broke and I understood what had happened. Annabeth Chase the supposed smartest daughter of Athena had cheated on Perseus.

After hours of consoling Perseus, he finally stopped crying, but now he looked like a hot mess. His hair was like a rat's nest, his eyes were wet, red and swollen from crying and those sea-green eyes that once glowed with happiness and mirth now looked dim and subdued.
"Perseus let's run away together," I say suddenly.
"What?"
"Yes, let's do it! We will go to high school, go to university, and start a new life Perseus! A new fresh start! Will you come with me? please! I will like my best friend to be there with me and I would like to be there for you too," I pleaded, suddenly sounding desperate.
"I want to be with you too," he paused thinking, "I will come with you,"
"Really?" I asked.
"Yeah, We can go to leave this life behind and start actually living for ourselves!"
"OK, we leave in a few minutes, get all your clothes, ambrosia, nectar, money and food. I will do the same meet me at Thalia's tree." I explained.
"OK, see you in a few." He said as I went to get my stuff
~Bob again~
We met up at Thalia's tree, then we walked to the bus stop. The walk was quiet as Perseus was still trying to process everything that has happened. I can only imagine the emotions that he was feeling right now, it is really something only the flow of time can fix but still leave scars. And the only thing I can do is hold his hand as we rode in comfortable silence.
~Bob is on a break but there is still a time skip~
We finally found a hotel to stay at and rest before we figure ourselves out. We each got showers and finally got some food to eat.
"so what do we do know?" Asks Perseus suddenly, with food still in his mouth.
"Perseus," I say firmly, pointedly looking at his full mouth.
"Oh, sorry Zoe" He swallows the food and then asks the question again.
"The first thing that we should'st doth is figure out our money situation. How much money doth thou hast?"
" I have about $186,000 from my quest and ..... my inheritance," he said with a hint of sadness in his voice. I reach out and squeeze his hand then reply.
" That is good, I was granted some money from lady Artemis and saved some, it accumulated after a few years of saving. Hence 'i mere, i hast $314,000"
So together, we had $500,000 at our disposal. Wow.
"Wow, we got a lot of money," Perseus says, my words exactly.
"So where are we going to hie?" (So where are we going to go?)
" Well, there is something I had planned for myself. I was going to announce the news to everyone but, you know," he paused. " Anyway, I got accepted to The University of Iceland, they offered me a spot in their Biology program. On top of that, if I do well, they also promised me a spot in their special multidisciplinary two-year Master of Science (MS) program on aquatic biology and fisheries. The best part is that it is all on scholarship "
"Wow Perseus that is amazing!" I say, being with pride and support "I am so proud of thou."
"Thank you, Zoe. I'm also really happy" He said getting brighter by the minute
"Then it is decided, we are going to Iceland"
~ Line Break~
We left the hotel for a short walk outside. As we were enjoying the fresh air and some sun.
"I want to die my hair" Perseus blurted, he seemed to do that a lot.
" Pardon?"
"I said I want to dye my hair," he said "and get a tattoo"
I thought about it for a bit. I thought it would look cool. As well as the tattoo, I always wanted to know what I would look like with dyed hair.
" Me too," I said " Lets hie find a place nearby to get it done"
He looks at me with a smile and asks the nearest person for directions

" Wow we look good" Perseus exclaimed
" Yay we do and the blue dye wasn't a bad idea," I replied
"See, I told you so," He said while laughing " and I love our matching tattoos, they great Zoe"
"Thanks, we better start going to the hotel," I say ushering him to the nearest bus stop"We have a plane to catch tomorrow"
As we laugh, smiled and chatted to each other, we both had the same thing in mind. That this is the beginning of our new life
