It was a usual Thursday afternoon. I was walking home from school which took half an hour but it was better then riding the bus and being confined in a small space with tons of kids who would bully me. This way I could run.

They always told me I was fat but I was actually pretty tinned and skinny. I'd lost all the fat I had and now I was all muscle. It had taken me most of my childhood but I was proud of the body I had now.

I was on the street my house was on and I started fixing my sleeves. I hide all the bruises I'd received today but the hardest to hide was my newly bruised cheek.

My main bully, Amanda had kicked me a few times in my shines and I felt the swelling of the bruises. It hurt like hell.

But I didn't see her little group following me home. I was about to walk up my driveway when I was grabbed by my long brown hair and yanked backwards. Being the klutz I am I stumbled back and fell right on my bum.

They all laughed at me but I stayed silent.

"Your ugly" one of Amanda's minions shouted as she kicked me in my shin.

"Your fat" another one shouted as she kicked me in my stomach. Her heel went right into when my lung was and I felt it.

"You should kill yourself your just a waste of space" shouted Amanda as she kicked me in the face. My head whipped to the side and I was fighting back the tears.

They laughed and walked away shouting "see you tomorrow slut".

I shakily stood up and as quickly as I could walked to the front door. I pulled it open and slide my ear buds in.

I was home alone like I was everyday and it was sadly one of the only things I looked forwards to anymore.

I plugged in my ear buds and walked into the kitchen.

As the tears rushed down my face I grabbed a bag of Oreos. I sat down on the counter and unplugged my ears buds. 'Hey you beautiful' by Olly Murs blasted through the house as I pulled my knees up to my chest and hide my face.

But as I heard the door unlock I quickly ran for the stairs.

I stumbled over my feet with little grace but quickly I made it to the top.

The front door shut as I shut my bedroom door and jumped onto my bed. I clung to my pillow as I hide under my covers. They were pulled up over my head.

I sobbed just loud enough to not be heard from the hallway.

My mascara was luckily water prof and I quickly calmed down. I walked down the stairs and into the kitchen. I made sure I was home alone and peeled off my shirt.

Quickly I bandaged up my cuts and slide my shirt back on. I laced my shoes onto my feet and cheeked my appearance one last time.

With my sneakers ready I walked to the side walk and started my run. It was my usual route and by the end my legs were burning.

I've been doing this almost every day for the past month and honestly my body still wasn't used to running a mile at such a fast paste.

But when I walked in the front door I knew my mother was home. Her van was parked in the driveway.

I walked in the front door and straight into the kitchen. I grabbed a bottle of water and chugged it as I grabbed my phone back off the counter.

My family sat at the table eating I think but as I flung my hair up into a high ponytail I noticed everyone watching me.

There faces matched my frown.

Without a word I left and went up to my room. I opened the window for fresh air but found a letter sitting on my bed. I didn't smile. My frown deepened as I read the address.

From: Amanda Donson

Unopened I slide it into the draw with the rest of them and walked into my bathroom.

I ended up taking a half an hour shower and got into my pajamas. It was only 7:30 but I was tired and didn't feel like doing anything else.
