Lily's pov:

I scan the photo and a million thoughts washed over me. Andy knew him and why was this photo in my apartment and I only noticed this picture until now as I'm about to drastically change the people in the photos lives forever. I want to ask Andy but knowing him, he would change the subject like every time we ask him anything personal. When it comes to Andy, you have to rely on rumours and people who have known Andy since the year dot. The joy in all of their eyes, even Andy's and he never smiles anymore they look like family and I feel terrible thinking that I will destroy the joy that the photo holds as the thought lowers my capability to complete the case I flop on the worn out couch and watch as some glitter comes out and dances elegantly through the room not long later I feel darkness consuming me into the eight hour contemplation also known as sleep

Andy's pov:

I'm done. I want to throw myself out of the nearest window. I sent lily, the closest thing I ever had to a sister, to murder one of my closest friends. Emerson deserves a better friend, Remington deserves a better boyfriend, not one who will send his close-to sister to kill his boyfriends little brother. I feel the weight of the universe fall on my chest as I remember when I was in lily's shoes, his name was Ashley, I fell in love with him. I couldn't kill him, I loved him too much so ronnie stepped in and made the kill. It hurt me so much, I couldn't kill again without breaking down and almost killing myself to be with him again, I never get close to people anymore as I'm afraid that I will mess it all up like I did with Ashley. I'm afraid that this will happen with Lily and she will end up like me, unable to get close to anyone without remembering Emerson and breaking. I can't believe somebody would want to hurt emerson like that and what he deserved to get a hitman after him
