“You’re tears.” The toymaker answered as he looked at the young lady - He brushed a tear on her face with his thumb. The young lady smiled at the toymaker, making him smile as well. He swears he never felt this kind of feeling; the feeling of a hundred butterflies inside him fluttering as he stare at her, her eyes glisten like gems, and her smile could warm the coldest night. He felt like heaven.

“Remember that you’re tears are more precious than diamonds, make sure that no unworthy thing is the reason behind that tears” The toymaker added.

The young lady stopped crying, smiled and grabbed the hot cocoa the toymaker offered and took a sip. “I-it’s good.” She said making the toymaker fluster. They spent that night talking to each other until the sun rise greets them.

The young lady stayed at the toy shop – she and the toymaker became friends. Sometimes she would lend a hand as the toy maker creates new toys for the children who visit the store, while some days she would prepare a meal for the toymaker and eat them together. She saw how the toymaker makes the children in the town happy without asking for any return – She admired the toymaker’s generosity.

While most of the children in the store were cheerfully playing with toys he gave, the toymaker saw a little girl crying – Her doll broke. He asked the little girl to replace the toy but her parents refuse the offer for they can’t afford to buy a new one. Feeling sad, the toymaker asked the child to stay and would return to give something.

The toymaker returned with a stuffed bear in his hands and gladly gave it to the little girl - The toymaker gave the little girl a special gift, a stuffed bear. It was not like the other because it’s  eyes were glistening blue like the sky, and its fur is soft as silk, but what surprised the little girl is that you could feel it breathing through its tiny nose– It’s seems alive.

The young lady was surprised with the toy maker’s creation and what she saw - The young lady had seen the little girl’s precious smile as she wiped her tears when the toymaker handed the stuffed bear. She was reminded with what the toymaker told her on that snowy night.

The parents offered to pay in half but the toymaker refused – He asks no payment in return. “It’s a special gift for a special girl like your daughter” The toymaker told to the little girl’s parents. The parent’s couldn’t thank him enough and told him that someday they would pay him back.

He walked to the little girl holding the stuffed bear and said, “You should take care of this special bear. For you hold a piece of me.”  The child nodded and merrily runs to her parents, waving cheerfully at the toymaker and the young lady as they left the store.

“Why did you give her another toy?” The young lady asked.

“The same reason like that one snowy night – Her tears worth more than diamonds, she should just gave it away” he said smiling. The young lady flustered with the toymaker’s word.

“How did you do it?” she asked again.

“It’s a gift, I guess.” The toymaker puts on his sweetest smile to the young lady. The young lady smiled in return.
