Dylan's Story

" What?!?!!" Said Dylan. He knew she had been feeling sick but how could she be pregnant? " Yeah, I think I'm about 4 weeks along." She continued. Dylan had so many question flying around his head. " Will it have powers, what powers will it have, will it have our powers?" Dylan was still rambling on when Summer shushed him and said," I don't know anything, the reason I told you is because my first ultrasound is tomorrow and since I'm already 4 weeks and we're engaged I thought it would be a good time." Dylan still had trouble processing what he had just heard, he just wasn't sure that he was ready to be a father. Wait. Was he the father it was highly impossible but still he had to ask." Am I the father then or is it someone from school or something?" They arrived at Hq and took a seat. Summer turned to him gave him a kiss and said," of course your the father don't be silly!" Dylan smiled kissed her back and replied, " Oh, okay just checking." Dylan finally processed everything but he still had one more question but he wasn't sure he should ask. He decided better late than never was the way to go, he turned to her and asked," Can I come to the ultra sound?" Summer smiled and lifted some pencils to spell out yes.
That night Dylan couldn't sleep he was so excited to see the baby. He kept slipping in and out of invisibility. He finally fell asleep and slept for a good 4 hours. He woke up at 8:00 and walked down to the cafeteria. It was nearly empty due to the fact that it was the weekend. He grabbed a bowl of oatmeal and walked over to where Summer sat . He sat down next to her and squeezed her hand. " You excited to see our baby?" Dylan mumbled between spoonfuls of oatmeal. Summer looked at him and patted her stomach. " Yeah I'm pretty excited but I still have to tell Zoom and Marsha where we're going and why." Dylan stopped eating, choked a little turned to her and yelled," You haven't told anyone yet!!" Summer felt a little embarrassed she grabbed his hand and pulled him out to the hallway." Yeah I know but I just found out like a couple of days ago and I wasn't sure who to tell and how." Dylan knew how she felt, when he first realized he had powers he didn't know what do or who to tell. It
took him weeks to finally tell his parents. " Oh okay, sorry well I guess we'd better go tell them, I'll alert them we're coming." He stood up and helped Summer up." Okay, do you have your Z.A.P. Z.A.P was the special phones that Dr.Grant gave the kids, Zoom, Marsha and Concussion so that they could stay in touch and alert each other about missions." Yeah, I'll alert Zoom right now."
