You were playing with your guitar as the wind brushed against your cheek, making you smile. You always loved how the wind makes you feel at peace, and how it made you meet your neighbor who was now your best friend, your partner in crime.

"Y/N!" Your mother called as you turned to face her with a bright smile.

"Yes mom?" You asked, noticing the sad look on her face which made you frown.

"I have some good and bad news for you" She said as she tried to smile. You were now curious considering how forced your mother's smile is.

"Bad news comes first"You stated as she cleared her throat.

"Y-you see, Stephen is leaving" Your mom said as your smile suddenly turned into a frown.

"Oh." You stated as you immediately ran to Stephen's house. As you were running, you couldn't hide the disappointment of him leaving you. You saw Stephen carrying a box of his stuff as you screamed his name.

"Stephen!" You yelled with all your might. Stephen turned to look at you and he saw that you were crying. He immediately dropped his stuff and ran nearer to you, hugging you tight.

"So you know" Stephen sadly said as you nodded. He then took a look at your crying face as you punched his arm.

"Ow!" He winced at the pain as you rolled your eyes, making him chuckle.

"You deserve that for not telling me this earlier" You said as Stephen continued to chuckle.

"I know, I'm sorry. So so so sorry" Stephen cheerfully said as he gave you a necklace. Your eyes widened at the gift, you never really expected this.

"What's this for?" You asked as your brows furrowed.

"So that you wouldn't forget me" Stephen said as he smiled, making you roll your eyes and frown.

"We'll meet again, right?" You asked as you raised your pinky finger, making him sigh and smile.

"Of course we will" Stephen said with optimism as he also raised his pinky finger.

"Promise?" You asked, still doubtful but somehow gaining trust.

"Promise." Stephen smiled, your pinky finger intertwining with each other.

12 years passed, you became a cop and met Tony Stark. He was somehow arrogant then considering him being a reckless bachelor, you don't know what happened but the both of you became the best of friends. Your skill for fighting and solving murder gave you a position in the agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. as you continued to work harder.

7 years after that, you discovered Tony's arc reactor and him being Iron Man.

3 years and you met Captain America, the super soldier who was frozen in ice for 70 years...and well your first crush.

1 year passed and you met the Avengers.

4 years that you continued to work with them. Hence, being close friends with them.
