"Maybe not today..." I muttered under my breath.
"What?" the three girls in front of me said in unison
"Nothing.. it's fine." I said then continued,
"What happened?"
"Sam fell when we were rock climbing." Taylor said while trying not to laugh. I could tell they had fun. While Jordan and I were here having the worst conversation anybody could ever think of. At least in my mind it was the worst...

After dinner, I decided I should call the hospital to get my monthly ultrasound. I picked up the phone, dialed the numbers, and it started ringing.
"Hello, Los Angeles pregnancy centre, how may I help you?"
"Hi, my name is Mackenzie Clarke.. I'm calling to book an appointment for my monthly ultrasound." I speak into the phone.
"Yes... I'll book an appointment for you. Are you available on Saturday?" The lady in the phone asked.
"Yeah.. thanks." I answer quickly, and hang up before she can say anything. Looking back on everything that happened... It's kind of depressing knowing that my family isn't here for me.
"Hey, how're you holding up?" Taylor asked, standing in the doorway.
"Oh, you know, I'm perfectly fine with having an ultrasound for the baby that my dead boyfriend and I were supposed to have together." I said casually, like this was all normal. Taylor walked over to my bed and sat beside me.
"It's going to be okay... You know that, right?" She assured me.
"Sometimes, I don't even know what to be sad for, or what to be happy for." All of a sudden, Taylor and I heard a big knock
on the front door.
"I got it!" Sam shouted from downstairs and ran up to give me a fat box, poorly wrapped in blue and silver wrapping paper. She handed it to me, and inside there was an adorable unicorn onesie and some purple, fuzzy, slippers.

"For Jackie... When she's born obviously." Taylor said, making it obvious that they both chipped in to buy the gift.

"Thanks guys, I really appreciate it." I say, while giving them a big group hug. it reminds me of the old times, when I loved hugging Luke... It's funny how everything I see or do, reminds me of him. I just feel so empty without him here. A tear drops down my face, but I resist the temptation to start crying my eyes out.

"Taylor you should've been downstairs, the delivery guy was so cute! He got my number." Sam squealed, while smiling like crazy. I love seeing my friends so happy.

"Well, I'm going to bed now guys.." I say, motioning for them to get out of my room, and they do as I say, respecting my privacy.

In the morning, I wake up extra early so that I can make a special breakfast for Taylor and Sam since they have done so much for me for the past couple of months. Even Jordan decided to pitch in. We decided to make eggs benedict, my favorite of course, and we got Starbucks for all of us. Pumpkin spice lattes for everyone, except for me who just got a cotton candy frappuccino since I hate pumpkin. Yeah, I'm not your basic "white girl," I like to be different. Different is good. After that, we made a breakfast dessert, which of course were crepes.

When they woke up and came downstairs, the looks on their faces were priceless. They immediately covered their faces in astonishment. I'm guessing they're surprised, and to be honest, I'm pretty proud of Jordan and I's creation. We make a pretty great team.

"Woah.. This is for... Us..?" Sam finally asked. Jordan and I looked at each other, then back at Taylor and Sam, and nodded.

"What are you waiting for guys? Dig in." Jordan finally said, breaking the silence. Everybody sat down at the table and had a really delicious meal. I'm so grateful for amazing friends... And after a long time, I finally smiled and laughed again, and they weren't fake either... I had fun.

After a couple of hours of shopping, and finally having fun again, the four of us decided to go back home and have a mini sleepover... Even though Taylor and Sam already sort of live with me, we're inviting Jordan over, and we'll all sleep in the living room with sleeping bags. All I could think of was that this was going to be...

Fun.
