Not Just a Friend

Chapter 1 : Rejection

Adrien POV:

"I'm sorry Chat, it's just there's someone else".

Those words hurt me but I just had to except that Ladybug doesn't love me. I just have to move on. I know she has said this to me before but it's been two years since I met her and I'm 16, I need to move on, I know it's painful but I have to do it. I thought about that all night and didn't get a wink of sleep, it's gonna hurt to let her go but maybe there will be some else.

*TIME SKIP

"Adrien get ready for school"! Natalie called from the hallway.

I look at my clock, it was 7am. I quickly showered and got changed and ran down the stairs for breakfast. Food was sitting at the table by its self because my father was probably busy like always and never able to even sit down for breakfast with me. I slowly ate my breakfast as I thought about Ladybug and how I needed to find someone better. I left the dining room to the car where the Gorilla was waiting to drive me to school. When I arrived it seemed that Nino had not arrived yet so I took a seat on a bench and continued to wonder if I would ever find anyone like Ladybug.

" Good morning Adrien how are you've been, I mean how are." Stumbled Marinette.

"Good thank you"! I replied

even though I really wasn't.

" Are you sure Adrien?You seem sad, are you really okay?" Questioned a worried Marinette.

I wonder if it's that noticeable.

" No I'm fine, thanks for the concern though." I replied

"Okay I'm just checking"! Marinette said as she smiled brightly.

Marinette's smiles always seemed to make me feel better. I'm so grateful to have such a nice friend like Marinette.

" If you ever feel sad about something feel free to talk to me about it!" Marinette said as she smiled one of those bright smiles and walked over to talk to Alya.

Whenever Marinette smiles I feel so warm and happy inside.

*RING* (the bell rang)

I took a seat next to Nino as normal right behind Marinette. I never realised how happy Marinette looks all the time it makes her blue eyes look so bright and pretty.

"Hey Adrien what you staring at"??

Oh crap was I staring?
Nino looked at me suspiciously.

"Ahh nothing!" I replied.

I felt a heavy blush covering my face. Was I really staring at Marinette long enough for Nino to realise. Nino pushed his book over to me.

"Falling for Mari are you"? I read.

"Noo she just a friend"! I wrote back.

"Okay dude". Nino said to me.
