It's been a week since school ended.. Today is the day, my graduation from middle school.
"Sweetheart, are you ready??", I heard my mom yell from downstairs..
"J- Just in a sec- i mean just give me a few more minutes.", I hate it.. I don't wanna leave my comfort zone..
Walking over to my closet and going through all the clothes I have i decide on this outfit..

I was brought back to the Earth by a knock on my door.
"Who is it??" I yell.
"It's your mom, honey. Pls open the door. I wanna see your outfit."
I open the door and see my mom standing their with her eyes wide open..
And then, she starts her questionnaire.
First, "Are you trying to impress someone??Are you out tonight or going to a club??" and before she could ask something else, I left towards the car..
The car ride was silent and we reached school in about 25 mins..
(Skipping the graduation ceremony.. Nothing special happened..)
On my way back to car, I heard someone yell my name... And when I turned around I saw my best friend Cassie standing... Cassie is amazing, we have been friends for a long time and she is my mom's favorite.. Or in other words, my mom is so obsessed with her that I sometimes feel that she is her daughter and not me..
"Hey Aunts, nice to meet you again. I hope you are doing great." Cassie say's with the best Scottish accent I have ever heard.. Yeah I forgot to tell Cassie is from Scotland..
"Hey Cassie.. I am doing great.. How about you??" Mom said in the motherly accent which I feel was meant only for me... But I think she didn't notice the eye conversation that me and Cassie had.. Yes, we can do that even if we aren't twins.. Friendship goals..
Now comes in the real Cassie, the one who never likes hearing no to her questions or the one who knows to convince everyone especially my parents. LOL, I can't convince my parents but someone else can...
"Umm Aunts if you don't mind can I take you loving daughter, Kat away from you not for much long but only for a couple of hours, I have some plans of shopping and then a friends re-union for tonight.." Yes...Cass had once again nailed it.. Manh I sometimes wish that I could lie just like her.. She never gets caught..
"For sure. Just don't mess around." That was all my mom said and left for home.. I just couldn't believe that she allowed me that too without overthinking.. Me and Cass stood their speechless watching my mom drive away.
