Hop - Pokemon Battle.

what a wholesome boy...

You stepped out of the Rock Gym, your legs aching and almost all your Pokemon, other than your Sawk and your Drizzile fainted in their pokeballs.

You sighed as you noticed a familiar face waving towards you. You smiled nonetheless as he ran up to you, his Raboot in tow.

"Y/N!!" He yelled before wrapping his arms around you, you really weren't expecting that. You had realised that Hop hadn't been himself recently.

You hesitantly patted his back and Hop pulled away holding your shoulders, "You won again!! Just like my rival to defeat Gordie and still be standing!" Hop yelled as your ears rung from the noise the gigantimaxing made.

You and Hop sat on a bench outside the small restaurant as you sipped on the coffee, your appletun resting its head on your lap, sleeping peacefully.

"Hey! Would you be up for a quick battle? I'm itching to have a rematch with you!!" Hop asked boisterously and you couldn't say no, his sweet smile wasn't letting up.

You stood up, a smile on your face "Sure!" You replied and placed your bag onto the bench, grabbing a selction of pokeballs from it.

Readying yourself, you threw out Drizzile as Hop tossed his Dubwool onto the snow covered grass.

You immediately started the match by shooting a water gun at the Dewool making it faint on impact. Hop smiled seeing the fact that you haven't changed despite the constant changing world.

Hop threw out his next pokemon, his Snorlax, then his Corviknight, then his Raboot.

Despite the fight Hop's pokemon put up you were still capable of winning.

You sighed and pulled your close to fainting Drizzile back into it's pokeball. As you did so you noticed Hop crouching down, sitting himself on the floor.

You placed the pokeball in your bag and wandered over to him, looking down at his shrunken figure. You knelt beside him, little wet sniffles could be heard from the concoon he made himself into.

You placed a hand on his back, you felt him flinch from under you. "Hop?" You asked and he slowly rose his head up showing a tear flooded face.

Handing him a tissue, he sat himself properly in the snow. "I'm so pathetic." He spoke as your eyes widened, he was always quite self-deprecating but never went as far  as to say something like pathetic.

"After my loss with Bede no matter what, I can't remove his words from my head. They're like engraved there." You tilted your head as you listened.

You didn't like seeing Hop like this, you kinda felt angry at him for believing he was some foolish weakling but, at times, you felt the same.

Kneeling up whilst Hop still spoke, you wrapped your arms round him, just like he had done before.

Hop's face lit up red as you nuzzled your face into his shoulder, "You're not pathetic..." You muttered into his jacket.

The tension in his body vanished and he placed his arms on your body, resting them there after the listless battle.

Suddenly Hop pushed you away and you were placed face to face rather than shoulder to shoulder.

His face was tinted a deep red as he turned his gaze and silently spoke.

"Can I..." You couldn't make out his words. "Can I ki... you?" You could hear more of his words and grabbed his face, looking into his before gently placing your lips on his.

You both melted into the kiss and you felt a warm feeling in your chest. Your hand entwined with his as you pulled away and sat up-right.

Hop was slightly confused but a bit too awestruck to actually make sense of the situation.

"I entirely guessed there, so I do hope you said kiss..." You said as Hop smiled and lifhtly laughed before pecking you on the nose.

"Maybe we should get out the snow, my legs are freezing off." Hop said and you both agreed, getting yourselves out the snow and back into town so you could get yourselves a warm drink.
