Kentrells pov
We were down the street from my house as I talked to Tanasha. He pulled up to my house and Kenny grabbed my bags. We walked into his house in complete surprise.
"MOMMY" I scream running over to my mom who was waiting for me in Kenny's house
"Hey baby" She said embracing me in a hug
I haven't seen her in almost a year. We write back and forth all the time.
"How did you get in here" I asked as a tear rolled down my cheek
"Well ask Kenny, he's the one that wanted to surprise you" She said
I turned around at Kenny who was standing there smiling
"She came home yesterday when you were asleep so I decided to surprise you today" He says putting my bag down
"Oh my god thank you" I said wrapping my arms around him
He gave me a hug as Tanasha gave my mom a hug. We talked for a while in Kenny's house until she was ready to go. Kenny took Tanasha home as I settled in with my mom.
"So are you gonna tell me or am I just gonna assume" She said with a sly smile
"Assume what" I said
"You, Kenny, I ain't dumb Trelly" She said calling me by the nickname she gave me
"Yes momma we together" I said blushing
"Ooou,my Trelly got a lil boo thang" She said obnoxiously
"That's why you look way thicker since I last saw you" She said slapping my ass
"Momma" I said blushing going to my room
I told her about me and him and all the specifics. She sat with me and listened giving her two cents in every here and there. My mom hasn't been home in damn near forever.
We've been close ever since my dad left us.
Kenny pov
I was with Mo and Don at the trap. He was telling us about how this other gang was tryna fuck with us. They were a small gang but they were growing and apparently had a beef with us. He told us to leave before walking to the door. He grabbed me by the arm and pulled me close to him. My body went numb as I inhaled his strong scent of Gucci cologne.
"Were you finna go " He said Inna husky voice
My face felt hot as I said "Home, probably to Kentrell house"
He said giving me a peck "damn ight"
"and tell him I said wassup" He said licking his lips
I turned away from him and left out. Drew swatches me walk away. I hop in the car and say bye to Mo. Kentrell texted me saying he wanted me to come to his house. I start playing NBA youngboy as I drive off.
3 hours later
Kentrell pov
I was cleaning the kitchen as my mom sat on the couch. I made oxtails with yellow rice and mashed potatoes, since that was her favorite. Random thoughts floated through my head as I moved around the kitchen. I knock came to the door as I turned around. My mom opened the door and in came Kenny.
"Hey baby" She said giving him a hug
"Hey Kentrell's mom, is Kentrell around" Kenny said with a shack voice
