Chapter 11: Persuasia

Kenny told me about this girl called Persuaisa (per-sawy-jah). She was one of his homegirls and She was hella chill.

"How you know her" I asked

"She an old friend from elementary school" He said as he went on his phone "we knew each other since 6th grade"

He showed me a picture of her.

"Me and her supposed to be meeting up today" Kenney said

"Ight. Out her own and see if she with it. If not then I'll find some people" I said

"Bet" He said as he texted her

The day went on as usual. I went to all my classes and did the same things. I would have usually did. I sat in last period ready to fucking go. I sat and looked down at my phone as i watched black lighting. The bell finally rung as everybody started to get up and put there stuff away. The class started to fill with people starting conversations. I got up and put my papers in my folder. The teacher said " the bell doesn't dismiss you i-" he said as i continued to put my stuff in my bag. People started to put there thingsback down and re open there books. I really wasn't having it today because all he was finna do was just put one more question on the board and tell us its for homework. I grabbed all my stuff and started to leave class. " aye get bac-" he said before i put my earbuds in and leave the room. He tried to chase after me but by the time he got to the door my body was mixed in with tons of other students trying to leave.

I grabbed my stuff and started to head towards this pizza place down the street. I sat there for only a couple minutes when Kenny walked in. we sat in the place as we waited for Persuasia. She came in at looked around for a second. She looked around the class for kenny. When she saw him it didn't seem like they were friends. I knew that she was ghetto nad was probably gonna jump on him and be loud and shit.

I was prepared for that.

But her vibe before that was a lil off. Her face lit up as she saw him. She she jumped on him her arms grazed all over his back. It almost looked like she was gonna kiss him but she saw me sitting in the both with him. When she saw me she rolled her eyes and hopped off him.i thought to myself " I'mma just ignore her slick shit for a second and pretend like I never saw it ".She sat down on the both across from me as she put her purse down.

"Sawy(Persuasia's nickname) this my nigga Elijah" he said as he put his arm around me

We both exchanged a small friendly wave with a half ass smile. We started to eat as we talked about random things like the weather. There was a loomy unknown tension in the air as we sat at the table.

The conversations were brief and pointless,then silence continued after it. Eventually Persuasia and Kenny started talking about politics. Even though I enjoyed hearing Kenny talk about politics because he sounded so intelligent but at the same time it was boring as hell to listen to. I nudged Kenny so that he would talk about why we came here.

"Oh yeah. Sway you gotta do me a big ass favor" He said

"Ight Kenny what is it" She said. Her eyes looked like she was undressing him

I rolled my eyes and looked out the window. Kenny looked over at me and looked at Persuasia

"I'm going out with this girl" Kenny said as he grabbed and held my hand up under the table " And I need you to be a cover up" He said

"Ight bet, but who the girl and why you hiding her" She said as she rolled her eyes and went on her phone

"You don't need to know her but me and her both decided to keep our relationship a secret for a while" He said

"Ok" She said as she scrolled through her phone

"Yall should take a picture together" I said

"Huh" Persuasia said

"You know... to make it believable that y'all going out, y'all should take a pic together acting all booed up" I said

"You right, you right" Kenny said as he went on Persuasia's side if the booth

"Take a picture of us kissing" Persuasia said

I nodded my head as I held my phone up at the right angle

Kenny and Persuasia held a small kiss as there slips softly pressed together. The light hit there face perfectly as I took the picture. i was ok wit Kenny kissing her since it was just a little peck. Persuasia opened her eyes a little and looked over at me.

Persuasia slowly parted her lips and deepened the kiss with Kenny. She opened her eyes partially and cut her eyes at me. I wanted to reach across this fucking table and deck her right in her shit but I digress. Kenny's eyes popped open as he leaned away from persuasia and coughed.

"You good Ken-" I said before Persuasia cut me off

"Did you get all that" She said

"Huh" I said

" I thought u was taking a video " She said

"Nah I was just taking pictures" I said as Kenny drank some water

"Oh shit I thought you were taking a video. We gotta do that all over again" She said as she sat herself facing Kenny again

"Let's see what we got first" Kenny quickly said as he came back on my side if the booth

His ass better come back over here I said to myself. Him and Persuasia looked at the pictures and complimenting my skill as they looked. Thy took two pictures of each other sitting across from each other with a heart over each other's face, before putting it on there snapchat. We paid for the pizza and left the restaurant.

They said their goodbyes and went their separate ways.

"So how you feel about her" Kenny asked as he was in his phone

I scrolled through Instagram and said "She ok I guess"

" Yeah, I know she be all over me and you don't like that but that's just how we grew up" He said as he started talking about how close him and her was and how that's just how they acted around each other

" Yea I know, besides I'm not your nigga so I can't act like i can't be bothered by it " I said putting not your nigga In air quotes
