Music. It was always an escape for me. If the world seemed to be getting too much for me, I would listen to music.

My Instagram was blowing up with questions from people about Collins and I. I was sick of it. I didn't have the heart to tell people everything that happened before he left.

Needing to get my mind off of the real world, I walk downstairs and hook my phone up to my Bluetooth speaker. I hit play on the playlist and grab some pots and pans to start cooking.

8TEEN by Khalid starts playing and before I know it, I'm shaking my hips while putting pasta into the boiling water.

"If I see something I haven't seen before, I'll throw a dollar at it." I laugh at the line I've heard at least 5 times from Damon. I stuff a meatball in my mouth as the show continues.

The day has been mostly calm, I haven't done much. I made dinner and watched a lot of TVD. Casual day.

As a slurp a noodle into my mouth, my phone starts ringing next to me. I glance down and my heart almost jumps out of my chest as I see the name that appears.

Devan wants to facetime.

I place my bowl onto my table and grab my phone. I press accept and the video connects. I see Devan laying in what seems to be a hotel bed and his hair is a mess. I let out a small laugh at the sight on my screen.

"Hey, Sarah," he smiles.

Seeing his smile brings a smile to my face. "Hey, Dev."

There's a small silence and my face falls as I find myself wondering if Collins is there. Maybe he isn't, maybe he's on a date. With another fan. Or with someone better.

"Don't worry, Collins isn't here. He went to get our pizza."

I let out a breath I didn't know I was holding. "So you know?"

"Well, he hasn't been acting like himself lately. So I made him tell me what was going on."

"Isn't it against like brother code to talk to your brother's ex?" I cringe slightly at calling myself his ex, I don't think I'll ever get used to that.

"Nah," he replies. "We're friends, Sarah. It's always going to be that way no matter what happens. With Collins or not, you're like a sister to me."

Devan is definitely my best friend. Through everything, I could always talk to him. He meant a lot to me, and even though I was in love with his brother, I loved Devan.

"Ya know Dev," I say to the blue-eyed kid looking at me. "Your the best Key brother."

He laughs and flips imaginary hair behind his ear. "Why thank you, Sarah."

This chapters shorter because I couldn't really think of much, I'm sorry. But I promise the next few chapters will be a lot more interesting ; )
