~Romano's POV~
Sure enough, after examining myself thoroughly, I noticed a small spot on my left hand that had seemingly begun to become transparent.
After Veneziano left, Spain walked up the stairs to where I was standing.
Once he got to the top, he stopped and looked at me.
I crossed my arms over my chest and looked away guiltily.
"Romano..." he started, walking towards me.
"Spain, I think it would be better if you just left me alone."
I could have sworn that his eyes grew wide at the fact that I actually called him by his name.
He tried to place a hand on my shoulder, but I shrugged it away.
"Romano, what ever could be bothering you so much to the point that you actually call me by my name? I would never just leave you alone like this, and you know that."
I sighed, and fought back a tear from escaping my eye.
Spain got ahold of shoulders, and forced me to make eye contact with him.
I immediately refused, struggling to get out of his strong, tough grip.
He then lifted my chin.
"Romano... What is it?" he asked.
"Nothing is-a wrong, you idiota," I said, not exactly being able to make myself call him anything worse while staring into his bright green eyes.
"Please, answer me honestly," he asked.
His eyes seemed to glisten with determination for the answer to what had been bothering me.
He would find out soon, anyway.
"I-a told you, nothing is-a bothering me."
I, finally able to get out of his grip on my shoulder, turned around and started walking towards my room...
...but I failed, and he grabbed the hand that had started to turn transparent.
"Roma-" he started as he glanced at the hand he gripped, finally realizing what had been going on, "You're disintegrating!"
I turned towards him and looked down.
"So this is what was bothering you," he stated matter-of-factly.
I nodded.
"I-a had a dream about this last night," I admitted.
"Why didn't you tell me?" Spain asked with why seemed like hurt in his tone.
Another two tears escaped my eyes at the sound of his seemingly-upset voice.
Spain embraced me in a hug, to which I actually accepted for once. And then I really started crying.
"Shh, Romano, it's going to be alright."
"It's just... I'm-a scared to die. That's all."
Through our embrace, we were so close that I felt Spain's heartbeat accelerate at the mention of me dying.
"No, no, no, Romano. You will not die."
"And how can you say that so confidently?" I asked, as more tears left my eyes.
