*knock knock knock*
"Robyn, school starts in a couple hours! I'm making waffles!"
I could here him smiling through the door. I sat up with my mouth wide and reaching for the sky. "Thanks Frank, I'm up" I said with a yawn still on my voice.
I picked up my phone to a couple missed calls and about 50 messages from Chyna, my best friend. I called her after I brushed my teeth, washed my face, and proceeded to fix this ugly behind uniform. As the phone started ringing. I put it on speaker so I didn't have to hold it.
"ROBYN!!" She yelled in her usual, whiny voice. She acts like it's the end of the world every time I don't answer back within an hour.
"I know I know. I was busy moving my stuff In and forgot to call you"
"Well you coulda texted me or something. You know I be worried about you"
"Yea my bad, I'll tell you about everything when I get back. I'm starting this new school today".
"Cool, I wanna here all about it! And um... how are you holding up?" She said with hesitation in her voice.
"perfectly fine but listen I gotta go, I'll talk to you later". I said in one breath. I don't have the energy to talk about everything right now.
"oh ok, bye"
*click*
I came down the stairs after I finished getting ready. I fixed the skirt to about mid thigh, rolled up the white sleeves, and threw on my white and black Jordan 11s. I refuse to wear that ugly blazer. I put my hair in my signature two puffs, laid my edges, and wore my big silver hoops that basically touch my shoulders. Oh yea, and of course I couldn't forget the lipgloss. I make this uniform look good.
"There you are! I'm gonna drop you off on my way to work" he said with a smile. He was wearing a white button up, some navy blue suit pants, a tie to match, and a real expensive looking silver watch with diamonds encrusted around the enlarged face.
"Lookin good Frank" i said with a wink, which made the smile on his face get a little bigger.
"why thank you! I appreciate it" he said with a wink and a gun.
I grabbed a couple waffles off of the plate he made and headed out the kitchen door. I get outside finding myself in front of a jet black BMW that looks like it's fresh out the box.
"Hop in!" Frank says dangling the keys as he makes his way to the driver seat. I rode shot gun and next thing I knew, we were on our way.
I got to the school and immediately knew who I had the pleasure of spending my junior year of high school with. "Wonderful, a bunch of preppy rich kids" I said feeling exasperated already. This school looks like a college campus.
I make my way in through the tall double doors and begin to notice looks and stares from each corner of the building. It could be the way I wore my uniform, or maybe even the way I wore my hair, the puffs were looking awfully perfect this morning. Or maybe it's the 11s, they still look fresh out the box cause I keep my sneaks clean. Whatever the case, I couldn't care less. Look but don't touch.

As I was walking and looking down at this paper with my locker number on it, trying to recall where that advisory guy told me my locker was, my head collided into something that couldn't have been anything other than cement, which made me stumble backwards.
"Well that hurt" i said rubbing my forehead.
"OH. MY. GOSH. I'm so so so sorry! Is your forehead ok? Are you hurt? I'm sorry—"
She kept rambling on but I kinda zoned out when she repeated it for the third time.
"Girl, it's cool, I'm fine" I said with a forced smile on my face. my head felt like it was gonna explode. Half because I hit it on hers, and the other half because she just wouldn't stop apologizing.
"Wow your really pretty! And your uniform is really cute and—"
"Wow thank you!" I cut her off so she wouldn't start rambling again. "Actually I'm a little lost, do you think you could help me find my locker?"
"Of course! I'd be happy to! I'm Haley by the way!" She said with a big smile on her face.
"Robyn" I said smiling back.
As we got to where my locker was supposed to be, she suddenly grabs my arm forcing my body to jolt back to where she halted her steps.
"Uhh maybe we should come back later" she said with a little bit of shakiness in her voice.
"And why would i do that" I said following her eyes to see why she stopped in the first place. My eyes land on three girls leaning up against my locker.
"That's Ashley, Lauren, and the one in the middle is Tiffany. They're the most popular girls in school. Tiffany's the principles daughter, the head of the cheer squad, AND prettiest girl in Sterling Heights. You don't wanna get on their bad side" She said with emphasis on the "don't."
I start to laugh expecting Haley to laugh with me. She's joking right? "You're joking right?"
"Not at all!"
"Oh please" I joked. "What is this, one of those corny Wattpad stories? First of all, I ain't never been scared of anybody, I don't care who's daughter she is. Second, she isn't all that pleasant in the face to be honest. And third, we could just say excuse me" I simply explained. Man, people around here don't understand the concept of manners.
I grabbed her arm and and made my way towards the three girls blocking my locker. She made them sound like monsters, they can't be that bad.
"Excuse me, this is my locker" I put simply, which earned no response. Maybe they didn't hear me. "Excuse me" I said louder making sure they could here me. Still no response which Is now irritating me. Alright that's enough. "MOVE!" I said putting my hands in the blondies face. I must've been pretty loud cause everybody in the hallway started gasping and staring in our direction. I look behind me and Haley's mouth is on the ground with her eyes wide like she's seen a ghost.
"What did you just say to me!" the blonde in the middle exclaimed.
Here we go. "You still ain't here me? I said move!"
The two girls behind her breath in heavily as if I said something crazy.
"Oh, you must not know who I am" she said as if she figured out the answer to something she was pondering for some time. "Well let me tell you. This is my school, these are my lockers, and I'm gonna make your life a living hell if you ever dare to talk to me like that again."
I was seriously tryna hold it back, but I couldn't anymore... I busted out laughing. "oh my gosh did you rehearse that or something?!" I questioned, holding my stomach with tears in my eyes.
"You think this is a joke scum?" She said as she walked closer to me. I think she expected me to step back because everybody that was in the hallway with us took a step back like they were the ones standing in front of her.
I chuckled a little and stepped forward closing the gap a little more, " listen, Im really not worried about who you are, but I advise you to be worried about me. You can act as tuff as you want, but try not to do something you'll regret because I won't hesitate to handle you if I need to. Try me, I dare you."
Right as she opened her mouth to say something back, a deep voice from behind her interrupted.
"You're in my way."
Hey guys!!!!
I hope you liked this chapter!
I know it wasn't that great but I promise, the story will get better!
Also, since I'm a little new to this, I'm not really good at making sure the chapters are about the same length, so if one chapter is really short compared to another, please forgive me.
See you in the next chapter!🤪
