Just the beginning

WTH just happened

As the tall figures came close enough, Lauren ran to one of the guys and jumped on him. Me and Jess stood there shook. Just then the guy hug her.... back.....

Whaaat!

Lauren got down and spoke

"Guys this is my boyfriend, James"

My jaw dropped on the floor and as I looked over at Jess, her reaction seems quite similar.

"Hi lady's" the thug I MEAN Lauren's BOYFRIEND spoke

"Since when were you the play the guys type" Jess asked hands crossed as she wore a smirk

I rolled my eyes

"We are forgetting the main motive here"

"Miss goth is correct we gotta go to make it before 3am" one of the guys spoke

Okay I was beyond furious now, nobody calls me GOTH

" EXCUSE ME but I ain't a miss goth here, and didn't your mommy teach you, if you don't have anything nice to say don't say anything at all" I whent full mommy mode

He gulped

"lets go now" Jess said looking at me

I looked at the large building observing as to how really nice It seemed on the outside despite how old the building actually is. I roamed my eyes around the small window as I counted

"June cmon" Lauren called out

I speed walked to them and I said

"I think the building is about 12 floors tall and about 33 kilometers wide but maybe it has a basement or a parking area that would be a good way to get in right"

"That seems like a good idea since we can't go through the front door that seems way too risky" Jess

"If there is no garage way or parking area we can break a window from the back to not draw attention to ourselves" Lauren

I looked at the guys that were staring at us

"What" I spoke a little annoyed

"Do you guys always go around breaking into abandoned building" James

"No....... restricted areas maybe" i shrug

I looked at the guys that had wide eyes.

"We can slip through here"

The the rude one spoke pointing at large dent it the metal fence that surrounded the building

I looked over at Lauren and she nodded. I was gonna go first, I slowly grabbed one side of the metal fence not enough to make a cut but strong enough to hold my weight.

I poked my head slowly through the crevice and looked around, their was no living human being in the whole area. I looked up at the building to see if there's any video cameras, none.... good

"The cost is clear"

I walked in slowly looking everywhere, there was no sign of life, not that I was expecting anyone to be there but something was just nagging my mind. As soon as I walked in I felt the air around me change or shift it was weird. I looked over as everyone walked in slowly without making any noise.

"This place is wor-" Lauren spoke

Bang

I swipe my head back towards the building, eyes wide as an owl as I looked up scanning each window then back down as I scan the whole area. The noise came from outside it was loud enough to know that it didn't come from in inside

Silence

Nothing

I narrowed my eyes as I slowly straighten my posture

I looked back at Jess who was clinging on another guy with a scull mask. James pull his mask off and spoke

"I'll go check it out"

"No " I spoke

"We will go in and through the front door" I said without looking back at them

No one refused

We walked in complete silence, don't they know that I want to get over with this and leave soon. This place creeps me out, and there's this weird feeling that I can't properly word out but all I know is that something is just not right.

I walked in slowly pushing the front door, it wasn't barricaded or blocked in any way so it shocked me a little ( just a little ). We walked in slowly one by one, the cold and slightly dark room was lit dimly by one headlight right above my head. It wasn't exactly homie or welcoming to say the least

"This building is more that one hundred years old and it still has electricity?"
The scull mask spoke with a chuckle

"But it shouldn't, the power station should not power this building at all"

Silence

Nobody spoke because it was true there should not be any power in this building at all.

"We should split up" I said breaking the awkward silence

"And look for what? I'm not even sure why we are here in the first place" Jess spoke abruptly with a hint of annoyance in her voice

"We are looking for any sign or any indication as to why this place should shut down right June" my bff Lauren spoke empathizing the Why

I nod

"Fine June with Lauren I guess me with Cody and pretty lady with Jason, if you guys find anything just call us, you have your phones right" James said

I nodded again

I hand no idea what he said but I'm with Lauren so I'm good. I grabbed Lauren's hand tightly as the other pairs began to walk away. Lauren pointed to a broken doorway as it was the only way we could go. I gave her a small smile as we began walking towards the door, it was wide open and we found our selfs in a poorly lit hallway. We walked forwards slowly looking around to find any thing odd but nothing of suspicious caught my eye

Bang

Lauren and I scream as we turn around the door was closed. I ran to it and tried to open it

"It's locked" I spoke with my eyes wide

Lauren reached and grabbed her phone, she took it with trembling hands

"No bars" she said in a faint voice

No way to communicate no other way to go. I looked back at the hallway slowly
