Do I...know you?

N/A the bold stuff is mainly like a flashback thingy ^_^

Danny sighed after the commotion in his head stopped. Where was he again? Where was Phantom?

"Oh sweetie! Are you alright!? What's wrong? You look ill!" Maddie worried for her child.

"Was it a GHOST!?" Jack asked the clueless boy.

"A ghost..." Danny murmured under his breath, "I love ghosts..."

"Wh-what? That's nonsense dear, why would anyone ever like a ghost?" Maddie asked in confusion.

"Nonsense?" Danny replied, "How is that nonsense? They're my friends." Danny stared at them, insisting so.

"No Danny, ghosts are bad, they hurt people." The woman continued, "they'll hurt you..." She insisted.

"No they won't. They protect me. Why do you hate them so much?" He asked the two.

"Well..." Maggie glanced at Jack and waited for a nod of approval, "Danny... we used to just help ghosts. Create things to make their lives easier...and better. So... we created the ghost zone..."

"It's finished Mads!"

"It is!? Oh, it's perfect!!" Maddie hugged onto Jack, "Now those mean ghost hunters can't hurt them!" She gave him a kiss on the cheek.

"But... we spent so long... we were so busy working on the ghost zone, to even think about where you were..."

"Come with me to my castle! We can be together forever! We can play games, and eat lots of food. We could make real space ships!" The little ghost chimed with a cheesy smile.

"Space ships!?" The raven haired boy's eyes shimmered in excitement.

"Yeah! Come rule my kingdom with me! Where everyone will love and respect you."

"What about mommy, and da-" the boy began to worry.

"You've got me! You don't need them, there's no time for that!"

"O-okay..."

"A ghost... He tried to take you away from us." Maggie sighed, "He tried to take you away from me..."

"Hold it right there ghost!" Jack aimed the gun at the ghost boy.

"Daddy, no!" Danny stood in the gun's way, and held onto the ghost's hand, "don't shoot..."

"What, why? He's going to take you away! Don't let it deceive you!" Maddie shouted to her son.

"But I love him!"

"You...you said you loved him! But...He was trying to trick you... He was trying to trap you!"

"What? What are you talking abou-" Danny stumbled backwards a bit.

"You can't have him! This human is MINE!" The ghost growled, threateningly. He held onto Danny tightly

"Ph-phantom, let-Let go! You're choking...me..." Danny passed out in phantom's arms with a sigh. Then the ghost the him over his shoulder.

"You can't have him. He belongs to me!"

"We managed to tranquilize him...so that he'd fall asleep, and tossed him into the ghost zone. We...never let you get near a single ghost ever again..." Maddie sighed, putting a hand to her son's cheek, "my sweet baby..."

Danny pushed the hand away with a confused look on his face. He had barely been listening, "...Do I...know you?"

"...Danny?" Both parents looked at him with a shocked look plastered on their faces.

"I told you. He's mine." Phantom whispered into their ears before hugging Danny from behind.

"Phantom?" Danny asked, looking over his shoulder to see him. The boy smiled softly as he cuddle into the other's cool, warm, touch, "phantom!"

Phantom was the only person Danny knew. The only person he could trust, and rely on.
