Alexa
After that mortifying experience, things were okay. Except for Blake's warning that things will go back to normal on Monday. I thought he'd be okay after he got me pads, but I guess not.
Now, on Sunday, I'm back home... unfortunately. I already mentally prepared myself for the hits that were to come, but no one bothered me, which was kind of surprising.
All of my stepbrothers were in the living room, but no one spared me a second glance when I entered the house. Could they be... they're not going to be mean to me anymore?
Or is that just wishful thinking?
I went to my bedroom and put my backpack in the closet. I sighed, sitting down on my bed. I started my period, my first ever one. I guess I'm officially a woman now... but I don't like it one bit.
Apparently Dad and Veronica were coming home. I heard their voices and went down. No one bothered to tell me that they'll be returning early? Just fucking fantastic...
"Hi, Alexa." Veronica smiled. "Why don't you come join us? Your father and I have some very exciting news."
I stared at them warily. "Oh... okay." I sat on the floor, ignoring my stepbrothers's stares. Or glares. I don't know. I crossed my legs, waiting anxiously. What do they need to tell us?
I knew Dad wouldn't do anything with everyone else here, but I also didn't want to be so close to him. I scooted away, and bumped into Ryder's legs. He scowled, but didn't say anything.
"What do you have to tell us?" Zach questioned, sitting on the couch.
"Well," Veronica looked excitedly at my dad. "I'm pregnant!"
My eyes widened. She's pregnant?
"What? Why?" Cameron asked, appalled.
"How long?" Justin said.
"Three months," Veronica said. "I got pregnant before our wedding."
"Well, you did seem a bit chubby but I didn't wanna say anything," Jason said.
"And it's a boy!" Dad said. "Isn't this great?"

The next day, I went downstairs, thinking that nothing would happen, but that's just me being ducking naive. As I was walking down the steps, I was tripped. By Cameron.
"Gonna see Lover Boy after school?" he asked.
"I'm gonna see him at school," I finally snapped, standing up. "Wait, who're you talking about?"
"That one kid I forgot the name of," he said. "Also, don't talk back." And that's when he completely pushed me down the steps. He came down, laughing. Ow! He just...
I stood up, clutching my head. "Why do you hate me?" I suddenly bellowed. "What did I ever do to you?" Tears began pouring out of my eyes. Why am I crying? "You're such a jerk!"
"Jeez, calm down," Cameron muttered, walking toward me. I flinched but he simply walked past me.
"Why do I have to go to her school?" Ryder questioned, trailing after his mother. "I like my school, thank you very much."
"Her school is better, honey," Veronica said. "And I think you two should go to the same school."
Oh. Oh no. This is terrible. Ryder's going to my school? Just, why?!
