I wasn't able to see Michael until Monday. Dad kept me on a short leach (not literally, but I wouldn't put it past him to do that). But he wanted to make sure that I don't mess anything up, since the trial (or the custody battle, if you prefer) is this Saturday.

But now that's it's Monday, my dad had to let me go to school, or that could've been used against him. He didn't hit me or anything, but only for two reasons. One, the upcoming trial, duh. Two, I made it a point to be with one of my stepbrothers, mostly Cameron, since I felt the most comfortable with him. No offense to the others or anything.

But now that's it's Monday, I was quick to go to school and to find Michael. If I still had that phone that was brutally destroyed, then I would have been able to talk to him sooner, but oh well.

I made my way to the cafeteria, hoping to spot him. A part of me hoped that he made up with Jackson, but I don't know if that was the case. Michael would've came back to see me, right? He wouldn't want me to worry for very long... right?

As I felt my wrist being grabbed by familiar feeling hands. I turned my head just in time to see Michael pulling us somewhere.

"Michael?"

He brought us to a table in the cafeteria that we normally don't sit at, and I felt my heart drop at what this could mean.

"Michael," I said, "are you still not speaking to Jackson?"

"What do you think?" Michael said bitterly, which wasn't like him — his tone or him not being nice to me. I don't like it. "What are you waiting for? Sit down already."

"Okay..." I sat down next to Michael, feeling uneasy. Michael had a look on his face far different than his usual expression. He looked angry and bitter, instead of happy and easy going. I'm sure even his creator was hurting from this version of Michael. "Michael, can you please at least try to talk to—"

"No," Michael said stubbornly.

"Kay... Where is Jackson?"

"Fine, it's clear what you want. if you would rather be friends with that boy then good riddance," Michael said facing away from me. (Author rn: O__O)

"Mikey—-" He does like nicknames after all.

"Don't call me that," Michael said, "and it's clear you would rather be friends with Jackson. Or Elliot—"

"You didn't even fight with Elliot!"

"Just go!" Michael yelled, slamming his hands on the table, making me jump up in shock and a little bit of fear. I've never seen this side of Michael before.

I stood up. "I'm just trying to help you."

"I don't want your help, you nosy stupid girl! Just leave me alone!" And then he hid his face on the table.

I felt like crying. "F-Fine, I'm going," I said.

And I was quick to leave, but when I left the cafeteria, I ran into Jackson.

"Hey," I said awkwardly, taking note of his dull eyes on me, as if he couldn't care less. "Are you okay?"

"None of your business, don't talk to me," was all Jackson said before he walked away from me.
