(A/N)- Just the basics if you didnt already know. also i dont own RWBY. It was a beautiful day in beacon academy the first years were starting the initiation while a much smaller person was trying to survive. that little person is (Y/N). and currently you are running for your life from a rat.
(Y/N) pov
im running away from a rat struggling to stay ahead. my legs feel like there going to snap. i kept on running. The only thought in my mind is what kept me going. 'I dont want to die' The reason im in this situation is because i am a borrower and i was spotted by a human and... my family they...
(FLASHBACK)
i was borrowing with my sister for the first time. we were so excited to finally start borrowing. well we ran out of food that our parents got before... they died. Me and my sister are twins. we both have (E/C) and (H/C) and have most of the same internists. Her name was Lidya. we saw a bit of leftover food on the counter and decided it wasnt that far from our hole in the wall. so we waited until the bean (what borrowers call humans) to go to sleep as it was getting late. The lights were turned off for the night and the bean entered there room. me as my sis ran out from the hole in the wall and made our way to where the counter is. i threw my fishing pole string with a safety pin as a hook. the safety pin launches up and onto the counter and gets caught on something. i pull on it and it seems stable enough. so i let my sister go up first. i climb up right after she gets halfway up.
Lidya- "do you think mom and dad will be proud that we did our first borrow of our lives?"
(Y/N)- "yeah i do. i just hope that we dont see a bean and im happy." i say with a smile
Lidya makes to the top of the rope and over the edge. i cant see her when she gets up there but i hear a blood curdling scream. my mussels go into overdrive and i shoot up the rope to where she is but i dont see her. i see a bean.i look at the bean and notice a little bit of blood on there cheek i realize what happened but dont want to believe it i scream as loud as i can
(Y/N)- "W-WHAT DID YOU DO TO MY SISTER?!"
The beans neck seems to snap as the beans head and eyes lock onto me and i hear the words that i will never forget ever again
bean-"i ate IT what else do you think i did to IT."
'How dare that bean say my sister is a thing' i feel the tears start to cover my eyes and tears start to fall.
(Y/N) - "DONT CALL MY SISTER A THING" i yell with tears streaming down my face
bean - "oh, and what are you gonna do about it. you know actually im still hungry" The bean says grinning and inching closer. i take this as my chance and make a break to the fishing line as the bean tries to grab me. the bean misses and i slide down the line and continues to run to the hole i jump into the hole that also happens to be the entrance to my kitchen. so when i dive in it destroys the kitchen and everything else in it. i hear the bean curse because they missed me. i pack up whatever i could salvage which was my fishing rod a a makeshift backpack. i wipe away a tear and exit into the woods through a mouse hole. i started walking and a mouse bit me. so i ran from it and it chased me.
(FLASHBACK END)
i keep running not wanting to die. i havent been outside at all since my parents died. so now i dont know whats in this forest. i think i heard the bean called it Emerald forest? anyway im not sure so i just keep on running. i look back to see if the rat is still there and i run into....
