Chapter 12

It was such a tiring day; I just couldn't wait to go home. Both of us walked into Alice's room. I went to take my dress of to give it back to her. "What are you doing" Alice gave me the look. "Err I am returning it to you, it belongs to you" I reply with a: what are you on about face. She started to laugh. "What? I don't understand" This was the surprise, the present I gave you? Are you serious, who returns a present" Alice said with a smirk. She just made my day again making me forget about everything that happened today."What? Is this a joke" I asked to make sure. "Kate I can't believe you" Alice started to Laugh. I ran and gave her a big huge." Honestly, there is no one out there who can ever be more of a best friend as you, thanks so much" I started to smile. "Ok, you can go change now while I make some popcorn so we can watch a movie on Neflix" Alice closed the conversation with the smile on her face as she got out and closed the door behind her.

Wow, she is my inspiration. I would of have not been who I am today without her. She is an amazing best friend like no other. I got changed and walked outside with my comfy casual clothes that I was in before I changed into the formal dress. I walked outside to find the popcorn ready and the movie ready to be play. "We are going to be watching the fault in our stars" Alice screamed in an excited tone. I was so excited, I really love that movie, I really want a love story like theirs, it's so cute. The morning might of have not went well but the end is perfect than ever. I jumped onto the couch and started to snuggle with a comfy pillow. The movie was perfect.

As we were nearly half way into the movie, the door bell rang; oh it was Alice's mum. I was really tired as it was a long day; I think it's enough for today. I need to go home. "Are you ready Kate? Alice do you want to come with me to drop Kate" Alice's mom told us. "Yep ok I will get dressed" Alice replied. "And I will wait in the car"I said. "Ok I will meet you there" Alice replied to me as she went into her room to wear something casual. I got into the car to see Alice coming out with a box in her hands. Ops, it was the dress! I forgot to take it with me. "Ops, thanks for bringing it to me" I told Alice, "Yap any time." She got into the car and dropped me off at home. I thanked them for the ride. "Alice, see you Monday" I told Alice with a smirk on my face. They drove off. I went to the door; before I even rang the bell my Mom opened the door. "Why did you take so long? Mom had a worried face on. "Mum I am fine, I am just really tired, I need to go bed. " Ok that's good, I just wanted to make sure that there was nothing wrong, ok go bed, have a good nice" She smiled. "Ok mama, good night" I gave her a kiss on her cheek and rushed up stairs with the box in my hands, changed into PJs. Before I did anything I went to the window to see Justin's room light open. Both of his parents were panicking about something that I couldn't recognise. All I could hear was Justin saying "I AM FINE" angrily.   I closed the blind and then went straight to bed.

The weekend came to a pass already, wow, why does this happen to me, what's worse is that school doesn't want to end already! I really can't wait till I graduate. I woke up to my alarm to realize that it was Monday. I just wanted to shove my head back into the pillow but not even 1 minute later my mom comes in opening the window and the blind telling me wake up. I pretended to not hear her but I think that was the worst idea that ever came to my mind. She told me to be awake within two minutes or....then left the room. Two minutes later she came with a bucket of ice and cold water and threw it on my face. I jumped out of bed screaming from how cold it was. Mum started to laugh. She is a morning person so she was pretty hyped up. She kept laughing her head off. I AM PRETTY SURE THAT WAS NOT FUNNY.... Well to me it's not but still didn't stop me from laughing at her. Lucky she had a towel in her hands or I would of have been frozen by now. "I got your cloths in the shower room ready for you"."Thanks mom" I said with my frozen voice. I went into the shower room to see new cloths, they looked really gorgeous. "Mom, did you get me this" I said confused. She walked in with a present in her hands. "HAPPY BIRTHDAY my baby girl "She said with a smile on her face. Oh now I get it, that was why she was soo hyped up today. I went up to her and gave her a kiss on her cheek, thank you mom. Then she passed to me the present in her hands. It was a silver Panadora bracelet with the first bead on it which was what I really wanted ever since I started High School. It was such a precious moment. "Ok I will leave you have a shower while I organize your favourite breakfast". Even though today was a Monday, it is the best birthday I had by far. I took a warm shower then got out to dry myself up and wearing my new cloths. While I was doing so I just remembered that it was my depression that covered all these grateful moments and memories in my life. I have to start to move forward. I can't always think about the past. I got all ready and dressed to see myself as a different person. I felt for the first time that this was really who I was. I wasn't a fully tomboy nor was I a girly girl. I was just in the middle. I love dresses, dancing and singing but I also long to play sport and be adventurous. I only had the bracelet to put on. Not even seconds later I hear my mom calling my name. "I am ready MOM, I will be here in a second". I got out of the shower room and went down stairs to see my mom looking at me from the kitchen."You look so gorgeous" she said with teary eyes. I smiled as hard as I can. No one ever told me that except her and Alice. Even though I didn't believe her, I ran and gave her a hug. On the opposite of me was my breakfast. She made professional waffles covered in Nutella and a bow of strawberries next to it with a glass of juice next to it. I ran to the table and didn't stop enjoying the breakfast. Ya, I forgot to mention that mum is a professional chef manager in a really, I mean really fancy restaurant.
