(Ink's POV:)
Dream and I go back to the empty AU to brainstorm ideas for what question Blue could have meant. "Probably not 'Are you Single'." Dream says, and I nod. "Maybe 'Why do you hate AUs'?" I ask, and Dream shakes his head. "Already asked that one, Ink." We continue brainstorming.(An Hour Later)
"We are so stupid." Dream states, slapping his forehead. "What do you mean?" I ask, confused. "Why does Error Destroy?" Dream asks me. "I believe it's because he hates AUs, but I don't know for sure because we... never.... asked..." I trail off, realizing what Dream meant. "We are stupid." I agree with him. Suddenly, we hear clapping from behind us. I turn around and see Blue. "Congrats, you figured it out. Now would you care to listen to the real answer, or keep believing the lie you told everyone else?" He asks, his eyes no longer stars, and his happy demeanor nowhere to be seen. "The real answer please." Dream says, and blue nods, sitting down with us. "It's a long, long story. But let's start here. Imagine this Multiverse as an art notebook, like the ones you have Ink." He starts. "Now, when you fill up the notebook, you can't put anything else in it without erasing what's there, right?" He asks, and I nod, not seeing where this was going. "Well, if you kept trying to draw without erasing, then eventually the drawings would overlap, ruining them. Now, keep in mind, this notebook is the representation of the Multiverse, and the Drawings are the AUs. When AUs overlap, they get ruined, glitch, and crash into each other. When they crash into each other, the shockwave knocks into other AUs, sending them into other AUs as well, causing a chain reaction that would delete the AUs. If an AU were to crash into the Original, then all the AUs would cease to exist, and we would all be dead." He says, and this news shocks me. I had never thought anything like that was possible! "Now, you know how Fate created you, Ink?" He asks me, and I nod. "Well, Fate told you of this when you were created, but she whispered it, and you must not have heard. Then you got out of control, and nearly went over the AU limit. That's where Error came in. He wasn't the way he is now originally, you understand. He doesn't know where he was from originally, but he was once a normal Sans, until Fate took him away from his home, deleting it, and put him in the Anti-Void. Fate left him there, and left voices to scream at him, turn him insane, to make him into what he is today. Fate drove Error insane, and then sent him to destroy the AUs so that you could keep creating. She tortured Error, physically, Mentally, emotionally. And you didn't help either. He tried to explain, he really did, after the Madness." Blue explained. "The Madness?" I ask, and Blue perks up. "Oh yeah! You guys didn't know! In the beginning, he was driven insane, like I said. While he was insane, he also felt an awful, burning anger for no reason. He destroyed for the sake of destroying back then. Do you remember when he stopped leaving souls to die in the Void?" Blue asked, and I nod. "Underswap #5, the Copy." I say, and Blue shakes his head at me. "You can remember that, but not whether you had breakfast? Really? Anyways, that's when he stopped destroying out of anger, and started doing it because it was his job." Blue finishes, and I feel guilty. Gosh dang this new soul!! Oh, I should probably tell him. I look to Dream. "Hey Dream, should we tell him about the whole... Emotions thing?" I ask, and Dream perks up, realizing we hadn't told him yet. "Ink, if this is about you being soulless, I already know." Blue says, and I shake my head. "It's about the opposite, actually. Dream?" I say, and Dream uses his blue magic on me, bringing out my Soul. Blue gasps. "WHAT?!? HOW?!?" He shouts. "I don't know. Before you came into the discussion from before, Dream said he felt emotions from me. And that was kinda weird, considering I've been banning myself from my Soul Supplements, and after you left, he used Blue magic on me, and we found out I had a soul." I explain. Blue gets a notification on his phone, and looks at it. "Oh! Looks like I've got to go now. See you guys later!" He says, and a black, slime-like portal appears behind him. He turns around, and walk through it.
