I USED to live my life in innocence, I believed there wasn't no such thing of evil. My family was normal. We lived happily the three of us. When my mom passed away in a car accident everything changed. The hallways of my house were dark, the shadows grew day by day. At the age of nine my father forced me to become like him. Cruel and heartless. The screams from the basement became the only thing happening in my home. I knew to never ask what they were from.

My father changed, as if he snapped. I didn't know what was happening at that time but I knew it wasn't right. My innocence of the world was taken when a knife was placed in my hands, once the tears of a girl I did not know were caused by me. When she begged me not. If I didn't I would of gotten it, who knows. Either it was her or me. I killed for my own good and I'll forever carry that with me till the day I die. I caused as much pain as he did,
                  My father was a psychopath

"Watch the door, I'm going to get some food kid" my father said as he walked out the basement. "Dad do you know what is today?" I asked as I looked at him from the couch. "No, I'll be back. Watch the door" he warned. It was my 11th birthday. Like always forgotten. Within a second he was gone. The house became silent. All u could hear was the stomping coming from the basement.

He told me to never step a foot down there. But something was calling me to. As any other curious kid would do I went. The door screamed as I opened it. The stomping stopped as the door became fully opened. I stepped down the stairs carefully not wanting to make much noise so I could hear when the car entered our driveway. The stairs cracked as I stepped on them.

Once I fully stepped my feet on the ground. I landed my eyes on someone else. Her blue eyes were bloody red from the excessive crying she's probably done. She looked about in her twenties. I stood there in shock. Without much thought I ran to her took off the tape of her mouth. "Are you ok" I asked as my hands began to shake as I tried to take off the rope from her hands.
