Perfect Two

*ringring*

Sasuke's phone was ringing as he showered from his bathroom. He was totally stressed of what happened between them with Hinata. He went out from the bathroom to answer the call. It was Hinata who is calling him. He was surprised why Hinata called him. He then answered the call.

"Hello Uchiha." The voice was familiar to Sasuke. The voice who helped him from their mission that seemed to be impossible. The voice that he thought he won't be hearing anymore because he thought he was gone. The voice was not from Hinata but it was from an old comrade who risked his life for him.

"What do you want?" He said calmly as if he did not recognize the person's voice. His heart rate raised as if something is wrong.

"Didn't you miss me Uchiha?" Toneri said.

"Who are you?! How did you get Hinata's phone?!" Sasuke knew this was another trouble.

"Oh I am surprised Uchiha. Don't you recognized me? I am your long time comrade, Toneri Otsutsuki." Sasuke widened his eyes as he revealed his identity.

"Toneri is dead, how come it is you?!" Sasuke asked and wondering why is Toneri alive.

"In a few months, Uchiha Sasuke will be our newest and youngest general in command." A higher official came to announce to the board.

"I can see his skills and he is a very wise. He has a lot of potentials and I can see that he will be a good commander soon." Minato Uzumaki, the current general of that time announced to everyone.

"If he makes it on this mission, I will right away promote his position." Everyone agreed and nodded.

As a close friend to both Uchiha Sasuke and Uzumaki Naruto, I have always been the least appreciated. They were both skilled and wise. Their parents were good friends and are part of the higher ups. We were all rookies but it seemed like I lacked something that they have, especially Uchiha Sasuke.

Sasuke was a really popular soldier in our base. He was popular because of his face, skills and abilities. Women were always drooling at him and find their ways to get his attention. The medics were too and one of them was Hana, Hana Mitarashi.

She was my first love and I have courted her several times. I have waited for her to accept me for how many years and yet she still rejected me. Like my "brother" Naruto,  I too never gave up to get her. I tried my best to get her attention but her eyes would never leave the Uchiha. I know he is my "brother" too but I could not help it but to envy him. He was good at everything he does and that includes his skills and his tactics in terms of fighting. I always lose to him even if I have trained so much.

Months have passed, the higher ups assigned the both of us to have a mission together. It was kind of a risky mission since we barely have an information about our enemies but we don't have any choice but to obey orders.

We found out where the enemy's territory and we took our move. We never knew that this one single move will change our lives. The place that we thought the enemy's hideout was a trap. The mansion was about to self destruct and we have minutes left before it will explode. As we run away from the mansion, a certain debri trapped Sasuke, preventing him from escaping. I was there to help and I called back ups too. I tried my best to lift the heavy debri and yes, Sasuke got out from the area but as he escaped, I happened to let my hand stuck in  the debri I was carrying. It was painful as hell. The time was running until we only have a minute to escape this ridiculously huge hideout. Sasuke was trying to get my hands off the debri. There were only 30 seconds left to self destruct.

"You can go now Sasuke or both of us dies." I told him.

"No, neither one of us dies Toneri!" He said rattling as if he does not know what to do at that time. His poker face turned into an alerted one and I could never forget that moment. The mansion started to explode, he held my hand but I pushed him away to save him once more and yes, the mansion exploded.

They thought I was dead, but I was saved by a certain guy who lives near the hideout. He was one of the enemy's men but he pitied me so he got me out from the mansion and helped me. He was a changed old man who served a guy who never even valued him so he decided to betray them by saving me.

The military mourned for me and I saw Hana in my so called funeral. She was too mourning for me and I was a bit touched. Sasuke and Naruto was there too. Naruto cried so much that he could not do his speech. I can really say that he saw me as his brother but one thing bothered me when I was hidden by a thick bush with a tree. It was Hana talking to Sasuke. It seemed like Hana told him to go with her and they left my "funeral". I followed them while I hide to cover my identity. They went to a coffee shop and it seemed like Sasuke was enjoying talking to her and seconds later Hana gave him a kiss on his cheek. I gritted my teeth with anger and jealousy. I decided to leave and go back to our home together with the man who saved me. He was too old and he found out that he had an uncurable disease which led us to the hospital. He did not survived and I mourned for his death.

My anger and jealousy grew to the extent that I worked so hard to make an organization where I could lead them. I was then known as the Viper because of my agility like snake. I was their big boss.
