"Don't hurt much Charlie"

I walked out of my room after changing into jeans and a sweater. I grabbed the cake from Theo and awkwardly walked out of the house as he seemed to be frozen in place. I'm sure auntie scolded him.

"Let's go, Theo" I whispered as I walked out the door and he followed behind, sitting in the drivers seat and I sat in the passenger

We drove to school in silence, it made my heart ache badly. I knew he was thinking but I could almost never read his face when he got this way.

He parked in front of the large school that stuck out in the small town. It was a really good school, I'm lucky I even managed to get in honestly

I walked up to the building and saw scarlet walking with a few people. "Scarlet!" I called with a smile. She turned around and waved at me

"Hey! Oh, is that the cake you made? It's so pretty" she giggled as she admired the cake. "Yea it's for you" I smiled as we started walking to our first class. We shared the same major, engineering.

We made it to the top of the stairs to get onto the building and she handed me her phone. "Can you take a photo, I want to post it" she begged and I nodded

"Go a bit to the left, I can't get the cake in frame" I tried to work the angle. "That's fine, I'll just move back a bit" she smiled, but didn't realize she was on the edge of the step.

"Scarlet!" I yelled and grabbed her hand before she fell, but the cake had gone flying behind her. "Are you okay? Are you hurt?" I looked over her petite body

"I'm okay, I'm okay. Just a bit startled. But the cake.. I have to grab it" she turned around and I looked as well, only to see the cake splattered on a males head and two more males behind him with horror laced in their expressions

It was the guy who threw the sweets at me! And Darren, What was he doing with someone so mean and annoying?

Scarlet went to his side, "I'm so sorry, Orion. Let me clean it up for you" her hand went to wipe off his face but he pushed her to the ground. "Scarlet!" I yelled and went to her side to help her up.

The male continued walking up the stairs with a furious expression. I turned to look at him and I ran up the stairs to face him. "Hey! She said sorry. You didn't have to be so mean" I barked at him

"She didn't have to be such a clueless idiot and drop it on me in the first place!" He yelled at me and I flinched, putting my arms up.

"You're such a fucking dick. An idiot like you doesn't deserve to go to school here, you act like you're so cool and you own the place because your daddy probably bought your way in" I jerked at his expensive jacket

He grabbed my hand, pulling me to his chest and grabbed the back of my head. "You.." he said in a low and threatening tone. "You have guts" he spit and let go of me, walking off.

I swallowed hard and went back over to scarlet. "Let's just.. go to class" I mumbled and we did just that

It was a boring lecture and it was over with pretty soon. I did this a few times then went to my locker to put my things away and get things for my next class

Theo had a lecture so I sat alone at my table. I took a bite of my cookie and saw Darren walking by with who I knew now as Orion.

I scowled and Darren looked over at me and smiled, waving at me like a child seeing their parent during a concert.

I smiled and then met eyes with Orion. He was scary one. He was tall and intimidating but I didn't let it get to me. I watched as they walked away and I got up to go back to my locker

I'm pretty sure they were in their last year here at school, they never were in any of my lectures. I put my thing away and saw a note in my locker. 'Roof, now' it said and I cocked a brow

I walked up many stairs and opened the door to a cold breeze. I walked to the edge of the building and felt myself wanting to vomit. Flashes of my fathers face invaded my head and the screaming of m-

"Oí! Right here, runt" Orion called out to me with his hands in his pockets. "What do you want" I mumbled as I gained back my senses. "What? No more big tough guy? They always said the smaller ones were feistier" he scoffed

"It's not my fault you're an over grown turtle!" I yelled and he smirked. "There you are" he walked over and grabbed my shirt, making me flinch. "You sure do got some balls. You're going to regret ever talking back" he growled and I was taken aback

"W-What?" I pushed him away and stormed off. He grabbed my collar and pulled me to his chest. "I- I'm late for my class" I muttered and tried to get him away again

"Listen, I'm not going to say this again" he spit and I whimpered as his hold got tighter. He put his hand on my waist and spoke again" Now, what should-"  "don't touch me!" I yelled and pulled away from him, falling on the ground

"Don't ever touch me again!" I screamed and ran away from him, hiding inside the building, sliding down the wall and crying into my legs

"please don't hurt me"
