The class passed by excruciatingly slow, but for no particular reason, Sebastian's eyes kept wandering to the new girl.
She would glance back occasionally, give him a slight glance from the corner of her eye and she would raise an eyebrow.
After what felt like an eternity, the bell rang.
Students poured out, but the seniors were still in class.
Wren stopped by her brothers' class, grinning at them from the door.
Lance saw her, laughing as he shook his head.
Phoenix smiled and shooed her away.
Silas smiled back at her, rolling his eyes.
"Mister Alexakis. Is there anything funny about mathematics?" The teacher boomed.
"No sir. I apologise." Lance shot him a sheepish smile, one that made all the girls sigh.
The teacher narrowed his eyes on the cheeky dark-eyed teenager, but resumed his class.
Not long after, the senior students came out of class.
Phoenix swung an arm around Wren, a small smile at her frown.
"Stop. You're messing up my hair." Wren whined, struggling to get out of his hold.
Whispers started as students passed by the pair, Wren sighing as Phoenix tousled her hair.
Wren tugged her hair tie, freeing her hair from its braid.
"Can we go for lunch now? I'm starving." Wren looked at Phoenix, and he laughed, ignoring her glare while he pinched her cheek.
She felt a sharp tug on her hair, stopping her from walking away from the class.
"I'm never doing your hair again." A voice growled in her ear, and Wren turned around slowly to see the offender was none other than Silas.
"Hehe sorry." Wren apologised, slowly removing his hand from her hair.
"See you later ladies." Lance grinned, winking as he turned his back on his female classmates.

"She kept giving me a weird look." Sebastian whined, receiving an awe-filled look from Liam.
"She probably has a crush on you." Liam sighed, resting his face on his palms with a smile.
"Stop dreaming." Declan shot, shoving another mouthful of piping hot mac and cheese into his mouth.
"What classes do you guys have after this?" Sebastian asked, ignoring his dazed friend.
"I have performing arts." Liam smiled, pride rolling off him.
"We all do, dummy." Declan smacked the back of Liam's head, sighing to himself.
"I have ballet." Declan answered, setting down his spoon in a sparkly clean plate with no trace of his food.
"Aw. That's a shame. I have music." Sebastian shrugged, casting a glance at Liam.
"Theater." Liam replied, rubbing the back of his head.
"Then let's go."
The three made their way to class, all in separate wings.
"Good to see you, Sebastian." Bianca giggled.
"Wish I could say the same." Sebastian replied, forcing a smile.
"Are you free this weekend?" Bianca asked, twirling a loose strand of hair around her finger.
"No, actually. I have plans with Kate." Sebastian smiled sincerely this time, bubbly at just the thought of going out with Kate.
"Obviously it's not on both days. So, I'll see you on Sunday." Bianca giggled again, winking as she left.
"Alright class. We have a new student here, and perhaps some of you already know this, but Wren is a very skilled violinist. Would you mind performing your latest piece for us?" The teacher asked, smiling at Wren.
"Of course." Wren replied through gritted teeth, picking up her violin.
She performed Sonata No. 9 "Kruetzer", quickly getting lost in her bubble of strings and harmony.
By the time she played the last chord, her face dropped into a stoic expression.
"Wonderful performance, Miss Alexakis." The teacher beamed, receiving only a stiff nod.
Class ended quickly, with students rushing to go home.
Wren shouldered her bag, tied up her hair and left the class, only to be stopped by a hand pulling hers.
"Wait." Sebastian softened his grip on her hand, not completely letting go.
"Can you teach me how to play?"
She scoffed, flicking her wrist to get out of his hold.
"That's why we have a music teacher. Learn from her." Wren gave Sebastian a hard stare before she left.
A/N: Uh oh. Now I know you guys don't know yet who's her destined lover, but it'll be quite the journey before we reach it. Is it Sebastian? Maybe. Declan? Perhaps. Liam? Mayhaps. :) Anyways have fun reading
