"You're a dumbass" Gruff said to me as we drove back home.

"I didn't want to live without you, why didn't you tell me you would have to die?!"

Gruff sighed, then looked over to me.

"Because I knew you wouldn't come…"

Gruff P.O.V.

We made it back home and I parked in the driveway, I rested my head against the steering wheel and started to cry. Bones leaned against me and cried too. I said through my tears.

"A part of me wishes you changed the world."

I gently moved him off my shoulder and held his head up by his chin.

"But I'm glad you kept me around." I told him.

He had a look of shock in his eyes, no doubt he thought I'd be mad. I mean I'm not thrilled, but I'd rather live in a wasteland than have Bones have to battle this world on his own.
He leaned in and…. we kissed…. and nothing I say will make that sound less gay. We kissed for about 10 seconds. Then I pulled away and looked him in the eyes.
He got out of the cart and practically skipped to the front door. I layed back and looked to the horizon, the sun had started to set. Once again I heard gunshots in the distance, but strangely, I cared less. What else can they steal? We have each other, and that's something they can never take from us. So I put my feet up on the steering wheel, leaned my head back, and listened to the crows sing.
