Athalia - The Goddess of Shadows and Darkness

Chapter One- The Story of Medusa

Third Person View

Medusa was a very beautiful woman, her face as if sculptured by the Gods, her hair compared to the Greek Goddess herself, the Goddess of Wisdom, Athena.

 One day, the so-called priestess was walking by the beach and caught a God's interest, Poseidon. She repeatedly said no to every proposition that the God had over, as she had to be pure and a virgin to not disobey and break her vows made to Athena. Poseidon was very enraged and has grown tired of her repeated answer, and thus..forced her. As an instinct, the priestess ran, out of fear. Feared of getting her life out of her hands. She went to Athena's temple and for a second, thought that she will get out of Poseidon's hands. But, alas.. faith was not on her side anymore. Poseidon grabbed her waist and raped her in the very front of Athena's golden statue.

After what happened...

As the priestess knelt down, holding the offered food in front of the fireplace and candles, suddenly she heard a voice filled with wrath, it was Athena.

"Have you forgotten your vows?!" she heard the compelling voice fill the whole temple as though it was going to crumple it down destructively. 

Before the priestess can even react and process what was happening, Athena showed her powers and struck her with an ever-powerful zap, transforming her eyes into snaked-like eyes, the side of her face filled with scales, her beautiful, wavy hair that was once, compared to the Goddess' hair, was now replaced by snakes, filled with venom.

She did not understand, she could not comprehend what was happening to her, all she did was fight Poseidon and defend herself. Why did this happen to her? How could this happen to her?? WHY?!?! 

Her high-pitched scream filled the temple with echoes.  Her scream filled with rage. Pure rage.

After the incident..

Athena entered the palace of Athalia, the Goddess of Shadows and Darkness, also known as "Shadow Empress". She got herself up to the side of Athalia's throne, and once she saw her black, dull and powerful eyes bore into her, she can sense her untold wrath inside of those dark circles. Suddenly, Athalia stood up and then shadows were appearing around her form. She took a step back, frightened of the sudden movement. 

"What have you done, Athena?!" her voice filled with distaste as she grows even more irritated.

"I did what had to be done. Do not go against my word, Athalia." her voice calm and filled with superiority but inside, she was trembling.

Suddenly, she busted out her dark powers and strangled Athena with it, causing her to gasp and fight back, but nothing was stopping her from killing her.

"You cursed a mortal, when she was the one who was disrespected and harassed!  Do you know what kind of blasphemy is that?! You are nothing but a sorry excuse of a Goddess. In fact, you are not even worthy of occupying that title. I have been keeping an eye on that priestess, and it was her dream to finally serve you, and now  you turned her into a Gorgon! Call Poseidon, I shall speak to him, and no one shall stop me. And YOU, disengage that curse you have done, or I will slaughter all that looks at you highly."

"Athalia, STOP!" a voice shouted from the entrance.

"And why should I? Whatever should you do to stop me? YOU. You should be the one I'm strangling." she let go of her hold on Athena.

Before Poseidon can even move, the shadows have already got a hold of the marbled floors. She then started a black hole while lifting Poseidon up. "Tell me, why should I give mercy to you? You pathetic excuse of a God?"
