"Hnn~?" Yume groaned as she started waking up from the sitting position that she's been in the whole night.

Why... am I not in my bed?

Yume turned to her left and almost screamed at what she saw, she covered her mouth just in time to prevent herself from screaming. After giving herself a few more moments to collect herself before letting her hands down, she finally remembered that she didn't actually go to bed last night.

Right, I spent my night yesterday talking to him.

Next to her was a sleeping Subaru that was leaning on the glass wall, she moved in closer subconsciously, not actually realising what she's doing. She hits the glass wall eventually and yelps in pain, stirring Subaru from him sleep.

Stupid wall, why are you transparent?!

Yume looked at Subaru, he didn't actually wake up from his sleep even though he heard Yume making such a loud noise. Yume chuckled and woke him up by calling his name since she wasn't going to jump over the wall.

"Subaru. Wake up."

No response.

"Subaruuuuuu. Wake uppppppp!"

He started stirring again, but not quite fully woken up.

I could probably just reach his head from here...

Smiling to herself, she reached out for his not-so-messy hair and ruffled it until he woke up while saying, "Subaruuuuu, it's time to wake uppppp or we're gonna miss breakfast!"

It didn't take long for the sleeping victim to wake up with all the noise and actions that were disturbing him. He opened his eyes slowly and scanned his surroundings. He slowly remembered why he was outside and responded, "Good morning, I'm just gonna go get ready and I'll be down with you."

Both stood up and entered their respective rooms and got ready for the day.

"Everyone sure is on the edge these days." Yume wondered aloud.

"You can't help it, we are getting our overall rankings and our finals results soon." Ako said.

Finals for the Four Stars Academy had finished about a week ago and all students were waiting for the release of results. Those results would impact their rankings greatly and determine their designation of classes for the next school year. If there were to be a change in the rankings, of course the student would be moving into another dorm.

The results would be released the day before New Year's Eve, so they had a few more days until they were out. However, that didn't mean they were just lounging around and was simply doing nothing. The top 10 -- currently 9 -- were busy planning the New Year's celebration and everything else since they were placed in charge.

In this school, there was no such thing as a Student Council or anything close to it since results were all that mattered within the school and anything else was irrelevant unless it disrupts the student's studies.

Since it was a schoolwide celebration, the rest of the student population had to do something as well. Their role was to support the top 10 and help them with errands and building up the stuff. Yume was in charge of the finance along with Koharu while the rest of the girls were in charge of the seeking of decorations. The boys were there to contact the necessary people to get the materials in order to make them.

When Yume and Koharu planned out the respective budgets for each area and handed them off to the respective leaders, Yume almost regretted letting Mahiru become the leader when it came to buying the decorations.
